Hello, One of my Bountys(100900-BLK) died this morning(or it stopped working properly). It seems like after a certain period of time it is losing power and it simply restarts. I guess it restarts when the AG tries to start the pump again.
Any ideas? Should I order the circuit board? Or I'm better off with another AG?

maxkode, I think you should contact Aerogarden about the problem. If the Bounty is still under warranty, they should replace it, or at least replace the base with the malfunctioning electronics. I don't know whether the base (including the touchscreen display) is available as a replacement part. If you contact AG, please be sure to let us know what they have to say about your problem!

Hello and welcome to AeroGarden Addicts maxkode.
If this machine is within the (what I believe is) one year of receiving then they will/should warranty it by replacing the unit or the base.
May I ask if you had any power outages lately? If so then may I suggest if and when it gets fixed or replaced that you put it on a surge protector or a UPS. That will help if you did have an outage or spike. If not then as Lynn stated contact AG and please keep us posted on what they say.
I know there are some people who have taken their units apart to try and replace or soldier things but I have no clue about that nor would I recommend it myself.

maxkode, I forgot to mention that AG pays for all shipping on warranty replacements. They also did NOT require me to return the defective hood from one of my Farms.

Good info above, maxkode! That said, AG may be able to walk you through a reset or fix of some sort. So, replacement or otherwise, it is your best place to start. From my experience, contacting thru the website's "Chat" feature seems to be the best place to start. Like the others, I'll be curious to hear about a remedy!

have you run the test pump and see if that causes it? have you tried it in another socket to make sure the socket isn't going bad? If its plugged into a power strip the i would test it with and without just to make sure its the unit itself and not the electricity its pulling. depending on how hard it is to get to the circuit board it might just be easier to order a new one (but i hate ripping apart electronics unless absolutely necessary)

Thank you for your reply guys. Well this is fun and sad in the same time. I've tried nearly everything at this point. It should be an easy fix if I'm changing the whole pcb but I can't get one because they don't have any (?). It seems that even if they offer warranty for one year, it doesn't really matter because I'm from EU and AGs are intended to be used in the US and Canada. (Wait what? why you're having a 220v version in the first place?) I didn't expect they to have replacement parts anyway, but come on... if I'm from EU my warranty is void? Even if you have a 220v version? I might try to replace the pcb with a RPI and a 3.5 touchscreen because I don't want to be that guy who says he cares about the environment, buys an electric car and the next second he throws a plastic product just because it is one year old or he can't be bothered to try to fix it. Anyway thank you for your help guys.

Thanks for passing that info along, maxkode. I wonder whether the statement about voiding the warranty appears on the boxes or online product pages? It should! Good luck with your repairs, which are certainly far beyond my level of electronics/electrical expertise. Can you still use the Bounty as a Grow Light installation? Can you replace the malfunctioning pump with an airstone setup?

The lights and the pump both are working fine. The board with the microcontroller is probably the problem. (1st picture)
I've received another reply from AG and it seems they stopped recently selling aerogardens to the EU. So it doesn't really matter if I have warranty or not... it is just a piece of plastic like everything else :(
It seems I'm not the only one who has this kind of problem. Unfortunately, nobody could find the solution yet :(.
I'll keep you updated

time to use the kranky method with it! sorry to hear its still not under warranty, at least its still use able just got to change up your growing style a little sadly :(
