So... when I plant a garden with slow germinating seeds (such as parsley). I keep wondering whether the second feeding is necessary or even excessive it the seeds are just germinating. After 2 weeks, the initial nutrients should still be in the water. Can I skip that feeding???

most people change out their res's after 2 weeks so there is no nutrient build up, i've been reading that if you want to do just a water change (just add water when needed) you should put 1/3 your food in a premade gallon jug and use that to top off the water (that doesn't mean stop the feeding every 2 weeks, remember they are growing babies and as they grow they need more cause they will have taken up all the nutrients in that 2 weeks.

Some people don't add nutrients at all until the seeds germinate. I just follow the AG instructions--start with a smaller amount of plant food for the first and second feedings, then increase the amount and add it every two weeks.
I do a rinse and refill of the reservoir at the third and every subsequent feeding (every 2 weeks) thereafter. Strawberries seem to benefit from weekly R&Rs.
There's no one answer.

I like to stick to my feed schedule. I typically only change the water after the first crop has been harvested.
