With the weather nicer and keeping windows open there is always a chance for flies or gnats or other insects to come in. So I invested in a Bug Catcher. It is similar to a Bug Light for outside but made for indoors and for those pesky bugs that can get inside. It works for Mosquito, Gnat, Moth, Fruit Flies and more. I have had it on for three days and it caught any flying bug that was in the house. Tiny gnats that get in when you open the door or screens or come in with you. Since I had it on I no longer see any especially with the night vision on a camera (yes I tested it to see if it really worked LOL)
It was pricey (approx $37 with the 30% off on Amazon for the better one) but for me I think it is worth it. So now that I know it works, I am going to place it next to the Farms so that my plants are protected from any fliers. I did get another unit for the main part of the house as well. I got mine at Amazon (the Duo) This is their other models (Auto and Manual)
I know there are lots of other brands for cheaper but I know this company is in Massachusetts and also has a location or warehouse here in Jersey. How do I know? Well I saw that it had a USB plug as well as a 120V. It comes with a 120V standard plug but you can purchase the USB one. I explained that in their answer to my question it should have had a USB. Well they were incorrect in how they stated it and it should have been one can be purchased separately and they sent me a USB power cord on them This works great because now it can be powered by the battery USB Backup via the USB port.

Thank you! I'm going shopping now. I set out a cider-vinegar-baited fruit fly trap just this morning near my strawberries. They have had fruit flies all along, but it's worse with two Farms and a Bounty planted. I saw one upstairs a few days ago, so figured it was time to act.

That is one slick bug-catcher! First night, at least a dozen fruit flies got caught in the sticky board. My strawberries and I thank you again, Shawn!

That is wonderful. Whew I am glad I did not want to have it not work but another person likes it. What model did you get? I got the Duo and I do place a little ACV with a drop of dishsoap in the center pod. I also like that is has an auto and manual settings.

Shawn, I got the Duo, too. I already had a fruit fly trap that holds the cider vinegar and dish soap mix--it's working, but slowly. The Duo has the holder for the attractant, plus a fan, light, and sticky board, so it was adding a lot. And boy is it effective! I love the automatic setting, which turns it on only when it's dark. The Duo came on as soon as the lights on the Farms went off.
