For those that have planted the aerogarden mint pods, is it more of a peppermint or a spearmint?

Going by the photo of the leaves they show on the website it's probably more of a spearmint, but it's been so long since I did AG mint that I don't remember what actually came up. I do remember it growing almost a little TOO well though!!

I think this has been discussed here before. I will have to do a search to see if I can find it.

I have found that the mint from Aerogarden has very little flavor. It was so mild it was not very useful as a seasoning. I have replaced it with my own Spearmint seeds. It is growing well in the Aerogarden and the leaves have a strong minty flavor. Also the Spearmint grows faster.

I agree. The Aerogarden mint has no flavor. I used some Spearmint seeds and they have grown very well. And very minty!

I think it’s peppermint. That’s what my seed box that came with a unit said. I don’t like spearmint and when I tried it tastes like a very mild peppermint. Works for me!
