I have 7 Aerogarden jalapeno's growing and it has crossed my mind when to harvest them. Aerogarden photos usually show mostly green but one or two red jalapenos. My original impression was that both green and red jalapenos might grow. In reading more about it, all jalapenos turn red when fully mature?
Anyone with real experience to share?

You can pick the jalapenos when green however I have found that they're a little sweeter when fully mature. I only pick up when they're red. Only way I'll pick one green is what I want to end the project and I pick all the rest off. But that's my personal opinion. Everybody has their own preference.

When I buy jalapenos at the farmer's market or grocery store, they are green. I didn't know that jalapenos would turn red when fully ripe until I started hanging around this forum!

Thank you Shawn and lynnee. Yes, I was used to seeing mostly green jalapenos too.
