These plants aren't very big, only about 16" tall. The bummer is, the left plant branches into a 3-branch Y. The biggest pepper is wedged into that Y so tight that I don't see how I'll get it out.

The stems on the left plant look sturdy enough to withstand the growing pressure from the big pepper. I'd probably try to sacrifice the big pepper now, though, by cutting it out, just so that I'd stop thinking about it.

I'm not worried about it hurting the plant. I just know I'll lose a bit cutting it out. I'm going to wait until each pepper just starts getting that orange blush. That's when they are supposed to be best. They get soft if you wait for them to turn red.

I think it's showing just a hint of that orange blush color change.

Those peppers look amazing, mike . I’d never heard of this pepper variety before. It’s been great following along as they grow.

I hadn't heard of them until Jim Duffy, with superhotchiles.com, sent me a pack along with another order I placed with him a few years ago. My first attempt growing these was not successful, none germinated. But those seeds were over two years old by the time I planted them. This time, I ordered fresh seeds. With that, I still only got 2 of 5 seeds to germinate.
I'm really hoping these are special. It shouldn't be long now. What I've read is you don't want to wait until they are fully ripe, they get soft quickly. You are supposed to harvest them when they start getting an orange blush. If you wait, they will go to red.
I will post pics.

You always have so many peppers on your plants, mike, no matter what the variety!

First harvest of my Sweet Apple Kambe peppers. This pepper resembles a tomato. It is thick walled and slightly sweet with no heat. This pepper was 3 inches in diameter. They can get up to 5 inches in diameter. The plant reaches 2 foot in height. A nice tasting pepper.
The flesh was firm without being overly crisp. I think They would be my favorite sweet pepper if they were a bit sweeter. However, these will be a wonderful pickling pepper (I think).
This is the sweet version of the Alma Paprika Pepper.

2-foot is what the seed company said for plant height. Mine are more like 18 inches. I want to try the Alma Paprika hot version of this plant. It has low to medium heat.

Here is my 2nd pepper. This was the one wedged into to 'Y' of the left plant. It came out easier than I thought.
This is the point I think they say you should harvest them at. What a pretty pepper. The yellow and orange looks so nice together. This pepper is slightly firmer than the one from yesterday. It has that crispness I love. The taste is wonderful. I'm not going to pickle these. I'm just going to fill them with cream cheese. Yumm.

Wow, that is a gorgeous pepper -- the colors are beautiful and it looks delicious! I resisted ordering seeds but these photos just pushed me over the edge.
