The Sweet Apple Kambe Pepper is a sweet, zero-heat pepper that resembles a small apple or tomato with a thick stem. They are juicy, very thick walled peppers that aren't overly sweet or fruity. They can have a diameter of up to 5 inches and a thickness of 3 inches. I'm sure they are smaller on an AG. The plant is just over 2 feet tall. These have frustrated me germination wise in the past. I started 5 of these in an old 45w Bounty, 1 per pod. I hope these work out. I'd like to pickle them. Bill Moore's Sweet Apple Hungary (Kambe) Review |

Interesting video, mike! The low-heat peppers are right up my alley. With age, really hot peppers are a no-no! I hope that yours germinate okay.  Surely the walls don't reach 3" thick? |

No, from stem to the other side of the pepper is up to 3" thick. The diameter is 5". The walls look to be 1/4" or so. That is max size. I think smaller on an AG.

At least one did. I know both of us had not had luck in the past. Maybe this one will do well.

I'm still not sure about the second one. Another thing bugging me is I'm not sure I gave this garden nutes when planted. Too late now. They are due Sunday for 8 ml more.

Dang it! Sounds like the pump is going out on this old Bounty. It will have to wait until I get home from work. I hope I have another pump.

The right seedling is a bit wonky yet. The cotyledon leaves spooned each other initially. They are too fragile to try to assist. But it looks to be correcting itself. I'm still not happy with the germination issues. Only two of the five germinated. Good grief!
