The AG holiday sale needs to end NOW. I just placed an order for the Miracle-Gro AeroGarden LED Grow Light Panel (45 Watts). This is the 3rd order I've placed in 2 weeks!
I had a 24" T5 grow light that stopped working after the first day, which is why my seedlings are currently clustered on or near the grow decks, borrowing light from the AeroGardens. My goal is to set them under this panel, give most of the plants to friends and family when they're big enough to transplant outside, but keep at least one variety of tomato and pepper (and several varieties of basil) in containers.
Does anyone here have experience with this product, or similar panels from other vendors? Any tips for achieving optimal outcomes?

I have not for fear of irritating my SO ( ), but I know Mike and Corinne have experience with other types of grow lighting. Believe me, if I didn’t have to worry about someone else’s comfort here, I’d be the crazy lady on the block with an over abundance of lighting, grow units and plants, and they’d all warn their children to stay away from my house, lol.

With all my aerogardens and all the other grow lights in the apartment, I was burning $400/month in electricity over the summer. Between all those lights and the AC running due to the heat wave, it was impossibly expensive.
It also leads to heart-to-heart discussions with one's landlord who understandably wants to know why the apartment is putting out more light than the sun, and exactly what is it that you're growing.

I'm assuming I'm going to have the cops at my door at some point. Top floor in the city makes my lights extremely visible. I hope they like salad, cause I don't allow what they'll be looking for in my apartment. I heard a story once where a guy called the police department and offered to let them come check what he was growing whenever they wanted. Not sure if that is true or not. My 24" T5 came with one light not working, but a little surgery repaired it. One wire had come loose and it worked fine once I pushed it in all the way. Right now it's hanging out in my storage room since it's spot has been taken over by Ultras. It worked great when I was using it. I've got a 24w LED bulb but it's not enough to do much. I've got it pointed at a 12" container of carrots, so we'll see how that goes.
