I'm a little late to the party, but I planted 5 white and 4 red Hypoestes for the GAL today in a 40w Bounty.

Thank you. I think the white ones have the coolest contrast. I'm hoping putting the red in the middle will give the appearance of a Christmas decoration.

I find the higher the nutes the pinker the white ones get. I use nutes on the lower side for these. I will take pics of mine later. There is a slight hint of pink but not much. Also in all the years I have been growing I have had one batch with totally white ones. GO figure.

I've only used 8 ml on 2 separate feedings. I'm getting some leaf curl, now. Me too...  |

mike and campingcorgis. Make sure the water is cool. Raise the lights a bit and only use half the nutes or 3/4. I never use full dose. I have not had any curling. Oh change the water too. The curling should stop.

Leaf curl is usually because of excessive nutrients in my experience. But it can be too much light also. I have only given them 8 ml on both feedings. Last night I filled the Bounty with as much water as it would hold to dilute the mixture. I raised the lights today.
Thanks for the light suggestion Shawn, I didn't think of that.

I raised the lights and set them to Sunrise/Sunset too.
