So now that the kale is done I'll try lettuce again.
One harvest XL with the AeroGarden Heirloom Salad Greens: Black Seeded Simpson Red Sails Deer Tongue Marvel of 4 Seasons Parris Island Rouge d'Hiver
One Harvert XL with the non-AeroGarden lettuce I planted previously: Loila Rosso Darky Crisp Mint Jericho Seafresh Continuity Red Velvet
I have some Greenway lettuce fertilizer 8-15-36 to try. (Edit: Greenway has a note for hydroponics that Cal/Mg needs to be added separately. Thought I should mention that.)

Nice thing about lettuce, two days and over half the pods have growth.

It will be one week tomorrow and there is growth in all pods with 4 grow domes from each Harvest XL removed. Both the Aerogarden and non-Aerogarden lettuce have a couple slower starting pods.

It sure seems like the lettuce fertilizer is doing it's job. It may be my imagination but this batch of lettuce seems to be growing fuller with nice color than my other lettuce batches. I used the lettuce fertilizer and cal/mg at 1/2 strength for these first 2 weeks.

I had a small baby lettuce salad (with homemade oil and vinegar) today.
The lettuce was not hard crunchy lettuce but a soft velvety texture. I thought it was really good.

After you've grown your own lettuce, the retail lettuce doesn't quite cut it any more!
