Hi people! My first time here and hope to learn. Today my 1 ag that I've owned for ages decided to die. I disassembled it and found a few nasties on the control board. I was hoping I could figure out how to just connect the pump and light and put it on a timer. I purchased another one so I can continue growing, but I'd really like to resurrect this old one. Perhaps there's a diy in here somewhere? Thanks all and enjoy!

Welcome mikie! The place to find the sort of information you're looking for is the forum's Information Center/How-tos etc. section. To get you started, here is a link to a post that mentions a useful YouTube video about connecting regular CFLs to older AG models that use AG's proprietary CFLs. aerogardenaddicts.com/post/58707/threadRejiggering AGs isn't my thing, but there are others here who are quite interested in doing it. Hopefully some of them will be able to offer you specific suggestions.

You might want to consider LED lights. Note that the longevity of AG LED panels seem to be a little sketchy. I personally wouldn't buy them unless they were hugely on sale. There is an excellent discussion and some recommendations here:

I don't know how technical you are, but I did find this Instructable. Haven't tried it, so no idea if it's any good.

If you are technically inclined, this works very well and there is a forum that is excellent. It will run on any Pi that you can get your hands on supposedly. It may run slowly on a Zero but it is fine on a Pi 3 or 4.
