Today I ordered my first Bounty Elite. I have 3 Bounty Basics.
The Elite has a 50w light vs a 30w light on the Basic. The Elite is supposed to do something over wifi. I suspect that I will find the the features of the Elite are nice although the Basic has worked perfectly fine.

Keep us posted. I will be curious what you think of the features and the increase in light. I have 2 bounty basics and wondered if an upgrade to an elite is worth the extra money.

I have 3 bounties, 4 bounty basics, and 2 elites.
I think the basic is the best bang for the buck. The only disadvantage is the low 30W wattage. I've found that to be insufficient for some things. My peppers for example do much better in the 40W bounty.
The 50W elite is more than enough for most things. I don't have much use for the additional features of the elite. The wifi app is pretty lame in my opinion. I've never had much need to dim the lights let alone play sunrise and sunset. If you find it on a substantial sale and could use 50W then it's a good machine.
I use the bounties for my peppers primarily. I use the basics for herbs and flowers where 30W seem to be sufficient.
I also use the basics for plants that grow larger than 2 foot. I remove the light hood and hang an external LED grow light above the plant. I use the 45W aerogarden light panel OR one of my 100W full spectrum lights.

Tomatoes depend upon which type of tomato you are talking about. Little cherry tomatoes can be grown in any of the harvest models. Full-size (under 24") determinate tomatoes I grow in a bounty (40W). They do grow into the light and have to be pruned though. Larger tomatoes I grow in a bounty basic with the light hood removed and adjustable external lighting hung above the bowl.
Cukes can be a problem as the vines need to be tended to. Again, I've grown them in a bounty basic with external light. There is a thread here somewhere with pics of it being trained to grow aroung the trellis of a bounty. It works!
Here's a link to my cucumber adventure. I used the bowl from a farm in this one:

tompepper7 and swimmom500, the AG app is really great, which is why I keep paying extra for the Elite Bounty models. It allows you to see your garden settings (e,g., days planted, adjust pump cycle) for ALL of your Bounty Elite and Farm gardens, and to sync the garden times with your mobile device time. If memory serves, it also allows you to change garden settings if the display on a physical device gets wonky. The Elite Harvest does NOT have wireless, but may be worthwhile because it lets you set the on/off time for the lights. I dislike the Harvests because of the limited height, small water bowl, and weak light. I think that a stronger light is always worth paying extra for, especially on the Bounty Elites that allow you to adjust the light downward (e,g., to save on electricity). The plants grow really fast in a Bounty Elite!

Here is the link to my garden with a cucumber vine trained around a Bounty trellis. Here is a link to a photo from page 3 of the thread. After the first circuit, the cuke grew around and around on its own. I did prune all the branches.

The Bounty Elite arrived a few days ago.
The 3 Bounty Basics on the counter take up as much room as I'm going to give them. So I think I will take one Bounty Basic out of service and replace it with the Bounty Elite.
I'm considering on having another go with the Brussels Sprouts in the Bounty Elite.
