Hi everyone, I'm glad I found this forum, and I can't wait to read the different helpful posts. I got into gardening last spring and loved it. By Thanksgiving, I began itching to grow more stuff. Unfortunately, I live in WNY, and nothing grows in the winter. I stumbled upon Aerogarden during a Black Friday sale, so I got an Aerogarden Harvest for $50. I watched a lot of YouTube videos about hydroponics and the different methods (Kratky, NFT, DWC, etc.). I got the Aerogarden around Christmas, and I first grew some of the seeds that came with it (dill, mint, parsley). Soon, I changed my mind and bought Nano Ciliegia seeds and jalapeno seeds from Heritage Seed Market. When both grew too large, I decided to remove the jalapeno and only grow the tomato, keeping the mint for a while. Here's a photo I took when I noticed the leaves looking yellow and dry. I removed the mint and started feeding at 1500PPM and started methodically measuring pH with each nutrient change. At which point the tomato grew taller than my AG so I ended up buying a supplemental $20 light from Amazon that seems to be doing the trick. I was learning about topping, LST while the plant was growing, I will try to limit it's height at a much earlier time next grow. Soon after it started blooming so I ordered a $10 electric toothbrush from Amazon and started helping the little fellas and sure enough I started seeing lil tiny tomatoes growing. Here are a series of photos leading to my first harvest today. Making the total grow at around three and a half months.

Hello there! Quick update. I'm flushing my tomato plant for two weeks before I harvest. Excited to see them ripen off the vine. My plan is to make a small bottle of Ketchup! Now that we're in good weather, My plan is to start a bunch of seedlings in the AeroGarden which I'll then transfer outdoors when they're ready. I'm also planning to hit the nearby nursery to get a few more plants. I will dedicate the AeroGarden to be all about lettuce. Fresh salad on tap, right from the kitchen! Wishing you all the best this spring!
