I just bought a Farm 24XL and I'm interested in growing herbs in one side. In general, do you guys typically plant 12 herb seed pods or fewer? I didn't receive any spacers, so I have to wait for my subsequent order to arrive.

I didn't receive any spacers, so I have to wait for my subsequent order to arrive. In a Farm, I'd plant herbs in every hole. Once they germinate and start growing, you can pull out any that aren't doing well to make more space for those that are. Just be sure to put tall, fast-growers like basil in back. You may also want to relocate some of the germinated herbs, if some fast-growing ones are taking over and hogging the nutrients. In my experience, if you crowd plants in a Farm, you just get smaller plants. When I was growing Fairy Tale eggplants in my Farms, I found that two plants in a Farm equalled or outdid the production of a single plant in another Farm.  |

I do not use every spot. I give at least some space for them to grow and get light.
