I have seeds for a couple of tomato types that I want to start in a Farm. How many seeds do you typically put in a pod?

I typically add two. And thenif both do germinate I keep the healthier of the two

I put 3 seeds in each pod. It's survival of the fittest at that point. When they are an inch or two high, the biggest, healthy-est looking, one survives and the other ones are... shall we say... uh... terminated!  |

I had some old tomato seeds from around 2010. I put 6 in a pod and surprisingly 4 germinated. I hate wasting plants so I will probably pull the others out gently and put them in pods. These are going outside in my Earthbox when they get big enough. So I will say 6 is definitely too many.
On the same note I put 1 zucchini seed per pod but they are growing kind of weird. Almost like they need to be further down in the pod. The stem is not inside the pod at all and roots are showing. Does anyone have any tips to offer on zucchini?

One of the times I grew zucchini the roots at first weren’t all the way down inside the pod. I just left them that way, and the plant did great!! Zucchini gets really big and beautiful in AG, but you do have to pay attention and trim any leaves as they start to die. Otherwise you’ll get a mold problem in the dead leaves, which was bad for me because I’m super allergic to molds. aerogardenaddicts.com/thread/4054/yellow-zucchini |
