I'd like to discuss our favorite models, and what makes them the best-liked. Personally, I love the Harvest models for the sheer simplicity and uncomplicated operation, plus they are the most affordable. I have never had any plants fail to thrive in a Harvest, even with less light than other models. My all-time pick is the Harvest XL because of the larger size, increased grow height and the trellis.
I know most people would choose a Bounty as their favorite, but I don't like some things about the Bounties... I don't like the location of the controls--I am forever dripping water or nutes on there; I don't like that the pump is attached to the grow deck, and I don't like the more complicated operation. I'm not an "app" person and could not care less about that kind of stuff.
I prefer simplicity but sufficient light and height. And speaking of light, can anyone comment on how the different models handle power outages?? We have frequent power blips in my area which makes me crazy(er) trying to keep my gardens on a schedule.

I have to say I do love my Farms but the Bounty and Harvests (reg and XL) are two of my favs.
Right now I only have some peppers in one Farm because I am still recovering from a broken ankle and going stir crazy not being able to drive.
It is healing and go back to the doctors in two weeks. Then I hope to be able to get my gardens going and this one cleaned soon too.

Some time ago, I think I wrote here that the harvest XL was my favorite. Although still a second choice, I now prefer the bounty basic. The versatility to set the on-off time (without having to do so at the on time) and to vary the timing from the standard 15 hours is a primary consideration.
Since I figured out that I can remove the light hood on the bounty (something you can do with the harvest XL also) and suspend the 45w LED panel above it, the height limitations are no longer a concern.
Since I have the option of adding light above, the low 30 watt output of the bounty basic is no longer a concern.
The bounty basic is the cheapest of the bounty series and the absence of the touch screen is a plus in my opinion as I also frequently drip water on the touch screen.

The Farm 12XL is my favorite, because it has all the controls (light and pump settings, etc.) and 36" growing height. It also has the wireless app, which I love and hope AG will not abandon. The height means that you really can grow almost anything (e.g., indeterminate tomatoes). The Farm 12XL drawbacks are that it sits on the floor (awkward pruning), and can't be completely emptied during a routine R&R. It's wonderful that you can pump the water out with the installed pump, but there is always some water with used nutrients, etc. left in the bottom of the bowl. Otherwise I'm a Bounty Elite snob. This is the most versatile of all the AGs. It has all the controls, a strong light, and you can grow anything but the tallest plants in it. The bowl is small enough (1.1 gallon) that you can remove the grow deck with growing plants, set the deck into a big bus tray, and carry the bowl to a sink to empty it completely at each R&R. The Bounty also has a relatively small footprint, so that it fits on countertops or shelves.
