So I been growing the fresno pepper plant for a bit, I've harvested a good bunch but have given most away due to the fact this particular strain is too hot for me. So I'm thinking about tossing the plant and starting fresh but I feel so damn guilty cause the plant is doing well still and has more green peppers started on it... Anyone else ever feel terrible about stopping a plant thats still doing great?

YES! get over it.
I feel bad when I terminate a perfectly good plant.
I also feel bad when I plant 2 or 3 seeds in a pod and they all germinate and I have to terminate all but one.
We need an Aerogarden Addict grief counselor.

Haha, I'm the exact same way. I usually take the plant and put it in a soil pot on the patio or plant it somewhere in the yard. I have one little poblano plant that I randomly stuck in a flower bed and it's still doing great out there, except for the racoon that strips it each time it sets new peppers.
And like SG, I HATE to "cull" the extra seedlings. With those I attempt to start another sponge pod and put it in another AG or in a Kratky jar. We definitely do need grief counselors (or mental health advisors)!!! Yesterday I started a new Iznik pod with ONE seed. I just can't set myself up for further misery.

Well, I used to feel guilty. But now I do like my grandfather did with his farm animals. He always told us kids, "Don't make pets of them!"

I used to feel guilty too. However Now when I am tired of it or things start to look sad I will start. I no longer feel guilty.

Yep this is what I was thinking last night, we probably have atleast 2 more months before the weather gets cold here, so I think I'm gonna put it in a pot and let it hang out, outside.

Hmmm... so, bluetech, if you put your pepper outside, how do you feel about an animal eating it?
I've never been able to grow an outside garden. Groundhogs and deer enjoy the treats!

I built stands that are 3 feet off the ground for my potted plants with netting etc over them only issues outside are just dealing with insects

Once I put a plant outside, I figure its future is out of my hands.

Once I put a plant outside, I figure its future is out of my hands. Tells the plant... "Your all grown up now time to go make your way in the world" lol

You can always pick up a pack of Iznik or Mini-Munch seeds and make your own pods. Cukes are fun to grow.

Wonder what type of seed they use in the official kits It's something very similar to the Mini Munch.

Are mini munch and muncher the same seeds? Some are also called mini-me. Trying to find something for a decent price on amazon

There are a lot of hybrid cucumber varieties for sale. I think that any of the "minis" will work fine in an AG. The only reason to buy Mini Munch or Iznik instead of something similar in size is that people here have actually tested them out and found them easy to grow successfully.
