I grow several types of lettuce, but am looking for seeds that might replicate the "crispy" hydroponic lettuce you can buy in the store. Specifically "Little Leaf" (brand) crispy lettuce. They advertise their lettuce as being a cross between iceberg and romaine. More info here: Little Leaf Farms - the "baby crispy green leaf" is what I am trying to get close to. Any ideas? I've recently purchased "Tango" lettuce seeds from True Leaf market - Tango Lettuce -- growing these now (they look close?) I also just purchased some (very expensive) seeds from Johnny's Selected Seeds called "Lalique" - Lalique Lettuce -- these look very close as well. Anyone ever grown something similar to this type of lettuce? I usually buy an 8oz container weekly, which is about $6.00 here, so if I can find seeds that are similar - even at $13+ for a packet, it would be well worth it.
