There are always threads about which model AG to choose, but I'm curious about the model(s) that you find you don't particularly care for. For me, it's the "360" models. I only have one, an Elite 360. It is cute looking but I have only grown one crop of lettuce in it and now it sits unused.
The round shape is nice to fit in certain spots but I find the grow deck gets too crowded. I'm sure that planting small plants sparingly will work fine but somehow I bypass the 360 when I'm thinking of starting a new garden.
Do you have a "least used" AG?

The sprout. I'm ok with the small size but the light is way too weak for just about anything.
I'm also eliminating all AGs with touchscreens!. Setting the light cycle and pump cycle with the touchscreen is very time consuming. These old hands do not have the dexterity needed.
Since I use mostly bounties with external light sources, I don't need the power of the bounty and bounty elite lights I've been slowly replacing the ones I have with bounty basics without the touchscreen.

That 360 looks like it would be good for growing plants that grow straight up and do not spread. Chives and scallions come to mind. (Some people call them green onions, but really, they're scallions.)

Interesting. I have a Harvest Elite on my kitchen counter which typically grows basil (I use and dehydrate a lot of it). I've been thinking about replacing it with a 360, because I think it would "sit" better where I have it - it's in a corner, so the regular Harvest takes up more space than it needs to. For me - the ones I use the least are the Sprouts. I have the older versions, but I find that the light is too weak for most plants. I typically use them for sprouting plants to a certain stage, and then move them to Kratky.

I have two CFL Extras and a CFL Ultra that don't get used. My old Bounties haven't been used lately, either. One of them has a leak.

I expected that the Sprout would be a "least used" machine due to size/light limitations. I have one Sprout that is my dedicated green onion garden and one that has been restarted with chive pods. For some reason I just like the little Sprout.
I suppose the 360 would be great for a single dwarf tomato or as Clovis Sangrail said, stuff that stands upright. I do like the look of the 360 and that it fits well in a corner.
Interesting what we each like/dislike about the different models.

I have one Harvest. That is my lowest end model. I have 4 Harvest XLs that I would not say are low end in any way. I have 3 Bounty Basics that are perfectly fine for many things. (others, see, sig)
Least used for me is probably going to be the Harvest. I wonder if anyone's least used model is a farm model.

All I can say is, I have one Farm XL and when it dies I won't replace it. I do use it, though. It's just a pain to clean and hard on my old knees.

I have one farm and I don't use it. I hate it. It's way too heavy and bulky. The heavy frame surrounding the plants makes me feel like my plants are in prison.

.....makes me feel like my plants are in prison. ...really though, aren't all hydroponic plants "in prison"?

The Sprout is useless, as far as I'm concerned. I love the compact footprint, but the light is too weak. I need the near-instant gratification of the 60-watt light models. I do not love the Harvests, either. They have weakish lights and short light poles. I hate the fiddly touchscreens with the "Leaf" button for the settings. I won't replace my Farm Plus, even though I like all of the Farms. The double-wide frame is extra heavy, and the footprint is awkward.

My least used AG is my farm plus. I am using half of it now and will start the other side with some seeds. All summer it sites idle not growing anything. My bountrys grow salad year round. The harvest is always starting or growing a few pods of lettuce or something else. In the summer half my bountys also sit idle as I grow tomatoes and other things in a garden behind my house. I like all my AG's the farm is just more work and, sitting on the ground now is harder for me. When I used to have it elavated on 2 inverted 5 gallon buckets it was easier to maintain. Now I have 2 bountys on top of the farm so elavation at this point is not an option. In the spring I also use a few of the idled bountys to start seeds for the outdoor garden.

Lol @lovesalads, a while back I had a couple Harvest XLs on top of my Farm XL. I think there are some circumstances the Bounty would be better for certain plants than a Farm. I had one pepper plant growing in a Bounty that was a yard wide. If that was growing in a Farm you could still only have one plant per side. The Farm has more space for roots and more light height, unless you purchase a 3rd party light extension for the Bounty to make it the same (I did and it works).

I would not trust the farm on top of 2 inverted 5 gallon buckets with 2 bountys above that. I guess I could build a solid riser for the farm to sit on then I think it would be stable. 20240117_174931

Hey LoveSalads ! I see in your pic you're growing some beans! What kind?
I haven't figured out yet how to prune a bush bean plant. They have these huge leaves that grow all over the place. I'm trying to remove the early leaves that are resting on the deck. On my last attempt I got a bit of edema that seemed to start on the leaves that were laying on the deck.

Blue Lake Bush Beans. I usually just take the bottom leaves off when they turn yellow. I pick about 4-5 times over the course of the grow. At 43 days almost ready for 1st pick. 20240117_184450

Those Blue Lake beans look fabulous, LoveSalads! I have Blue Lake seeds in hand to plant soon, so it's great to know that the variety grows so well in an AG.
