Will you be clipping off those larger lower leaves, Mike? it looks like it is the nature of that plant to be full and bushy through the whole growing process. i took off quite a few on mine and it looks like it is fulling back out

I agree. I looked at the plant and felt it was a bit overburdened. So I took off four leaves. I will re-evaluate in a few days.

Major haircut time. I removed the remaining seven x-large leaves. There are plenty of buds coming in at 35 days. I will remove them on Sunday. I don't want to see buds before 45 days. This plant is 35 days old.  |

Will removing the early buds allow the stock to grow stronger for later support?

Once the blooms appear, the plant re-directs it's energy to producing fruit. Preventing the blooms allows the plant to continue and grow strong. Since the plants are indoors, you don't have to worry about the limitations of the growing season. So taking a little longer to strengthen the plant should increase the yield significantly.

That's good to know! I have a 30-day-old albino bullnose that has at least 6 unopened buds, while the corbaci in the same machine (planted at the same time) has no buds and is at least 2 inches taller. Thank you for sharing this info - going to snip those off tonight!

Do you just remove the buds themselves, or the leaves around the cluster? I wasn't able to get all the buds, but wasn't sure if cutting the leaves/stem under the cluster would prevent the plant from growing.
