WOW, in just two short weeks I will be AG'ing for 2 years. Where has the time gone?
I went from not being able to keep a weeds alive (ok that is not true because it is hard to kill those LOL) to growing Peppers, Herbs, Peas, and Flowers. I am so glad to have started this hobby but even happier I found our former group (which since closed) and to start this one with great members.
So Happy Almost Two Year Anniversary to me!
With that said, how long have you all been AG'ing?

I started in August or September of 2016, so I'm not even up to two years yet.

Totally fine I remember you sending me that link a while ago. What a wonderful first project it was.

August 2012 I bought my first Classic 7 off of Ebay, used. For the first two years I only grew herb kits in my dining room. Then in late 2014, I found Corinne's earlier forum. I bought two more used Classics, and my first taste of growing tomatoes and peppers occurred.
Then to now, I've bought 20 gardens or so. I really only have room for the 7 LED units I use most of the time, now.

Wow, Shawn, I can’t believe I web-met you 2 years ago! Yes, time most certainly flies. I, too, am so happy to have found all you fellow AG fans. It makes AGing that much more fun. Thank you for starting this group, and thank you, Corinne, for having started the prior group!
My AG habit was born ironically in large part due to a sad event. My brother had died suddenly and I was spending an inordinate amount of time internet shopping in the wee hours of the morning for stuff I had absolutely no need for. It was very unusual for me. I remember that an Amazon lightening deal popped up for a bubbler 7 AG for $99. I thought well that looks cool, indoor herbs. I’ll buy it. So I ordered it and only then starting reading a bunch of reviews and got on the AG site to learn about it. And before the first one even shipped, I ordered the 2nd one! This was in December 2013. Within a month, I believe, I found Corinne’s forum, and I was totally hooked. I think in these years i have bought over 20 AG’s.

It looks like my first Farm Plus came 11/26. I'm thrilled with how much more greens I have in my diet now that they are only a few feet away.
"Addict" is a pretty good description of going from 1 to 15 machines in a month. So far I've been good and haven't picked up any more farms, but I'm on the website staring longingly once or twice a week. Since I don't drive, my dream is to have a house with a garage full of hydroponics. They are putting up some across the street from me that would be perfect if I was ready to buy.

MaryL Sorry it took a sad event to get you into AG'ing but in the end it brings you joy. In that you can have happy joyful memories that it was your brother who got you into AG'ing.

Thanks Shawn! I think he’d have thought AGing is pretty cool, too.

I actually got into Aerogardens watching a tech geek podcast called "Know How" (on the TWiT - This Week in Tech) network. A couple summers ago, they did a series called "Grow How" an (among other things) featured an Aerogarden Harvest (the old style before it had a display) and a Bounty.
I was hooked, just watching.

Yes, thank you, Shawn ! I want to say if it were not for @cornne and her place, I would not have found a place to call my AeroHome. It was my pleasure to continue on from the great place she had. So Thank you (and your welcome) Corinne. Your Welcome Dawn~

I will say for all of us, whether it be a few weeks or several years, we are all doing pretty darn good! Also, it seems most have described pretty much the same experience, in that it was fairly evident in the first few weeks that this was going to be a thing for each of us, our new little hobby-addiction. It grabbed us from the get-go.
