While my mega cherry tomato is doing really well, last night I noticed that its leaves were a bit droopy and the leaves on the mini jalepeno are curling in a bit (looks like a taco shell!) ... is this an indication that they may want some of the Mr. Mucha solution?

How many days have they been planted? If at the 4 week mark then I would add some Mooch. I am sure others will reply with their more on hand knowledge.

stick your fingers in the tank and check to see if the water is on the warm side. sometimes that happens with me.

If the water's warm, maybe an ice cube.
If it's four weeks, dump and refill (new nutes)
Look inside, see if the water's low. I find that the low water indication is flakey at best.

I'm new, a little over a month now. I have the same problem with the dropping leaves! I went ahead and changed the water an added the nutrients. I have the Aerogarden extra led an added 3 cap full of nutrients.
What is Mooch?

I'm new a little over a month now. I have the same problem with the dropping leaves! I went ahead and changed the water an added the nutrients. I have the Aerogarden extra led an added 3 cap full of nutrients. What is Mooch? Welcome to the forum Don! I am sorry to hear you have some drooping leaves. Are you growing peppers or tomatoes or something else? Are the drooping or curling? Can you post a picture of the plant? (See this thread for posting pictures). Usually curling leaves are attributed to to much nutes. However I am not saying that is what is happening. Also check the water temp. Make sure the water is not too warm. If your water gets too warm place a few ice cubes in it or change water using cooler (not cold) water. Lastly make sure the pump is working and you have enough water in the tank. Mooch .. this is a Calcium-Magnesium supplement used for pepper and tomato plants. Mooch is short for Mr. Mucha Stash. This is a particular brand. You can find more info about Nutes and Mooch here.

Attachment DeletedWell, adding the photo worked! I had to future out how this works. After reading the forums last night I changed the water and added the nutrients. Then I posted on the thread for help! A little backwards, but I was worried about the plants! Thanks for the fast reply! BTW, when talking about the amount of nutrients. Is it by value of water or number of plants? I have 7 holes in my Extra led, but I'm only using 4 holes. Two Tomatoes and two lettuce plants. So I'm not sure how much nutrients to add. The tomatoes looked a little better them last night. Also the pump is working! Thanks again, I would have never thought of checking out the pump. Thanks again. Don

Don, You add nutes according to the unit itself. The Extra is a 7 pod so you follow those instructions. Again, take a look at the thread posted about Nutes. Also, many have found that in a large machine you really should only have a) two pepper plants, b) two tomato plants, or c) one pepper and one tomato. I see you have two tomato plants and the lettuce. Lettuce takes less nutes then tomatoes further on. That will also be a ton of roots as well. You do not want to cram the plants together. As the tomatoes grow, they will over shadow the lettuce. Lettuce grows fast and can also over shadow the tomatoes as they are still short. If you will be posting a lot of photos in the future, please use a repository. This is so we save space on the server

Thanks Shawn. You can delete the one with no writing If that helps. I can go back and change the other one, but not to sure how to. I'm using a kindle tablet and not sure if it capacity along with my wicked computer skill!😉, The extra was full of lettuce and I realized it was to much and moved 3 lettuce plants to the Aerogarden harvest, I'll see if I can transplant the rest of the lettuce in it. I hate to giving up my lettuce! It's really starting to produce a lot of lettuce.
I'm thinking, I'll have to trim back the leaves to help reducing the shock? Not really sure, but I'm going to cut in to the roots of the lettuce to save the tomatoes. Should I wait and make sure the tomatoes are doing better? Don

Moved the lettuce to the ag harvest. The tomatoes weren't looking any better, so I decided to dump the nutrient solution and flush it with water for a (day?). Don

For my tomatoes, I do 10ml AG nutes and just shy of 4ml CaliMagic, every two weeks. Tomatoes need a significantly higher amount of nutrients than many other veggies, so I may actually be underfeeding. It doesn't look like it, however. You just pour it in the corner opening and top with water after. I add so much fresh water every two days, that I've been changing the water only once a month, but I'm going to test the water as soon as my tester gets here just to see where I'm at. I may start changing every two weeks if the PPM is off, but I doubt it.
I have mine in an Extra. It's nice the AG's remind you to feed, so there's no forgetting or overfeeding issues. The basin is the same size on all the large AG's, (Extra, Ultra, Bounty), BTW.

I have the Jug from AG and when I fill that with water I also add nutes to it so when I do add water there are nutes in that as well

Ah yes. I'd thought about getting one. Shipping here from Aerogarden is a joke cost wise, but Amazon has pretty much everything I need. I haven't had any spillage issues just using the gallon jugs of distilled water, but it might be handy if I ever decide to premix feeding for specific plants like the tomatoes. They really suck up water.

I ended up letting the tomatoes flush for 2 days. Their looking good now and they started budding a couple of days ago. I've got two tomatoes, very small green tomatoes now! They don't get very big, do they? Maybe, about the size of a nickel? They looked bigger on line.

When it topped off the tomato. I cloned the cutting an used the Kratky method and the same thing happened. Now it's flushing for a couple of days. I'm going to clone a couple of tomato plants and give them to be grandkids. I think they'll have a blast! Thanks again. Don

I ended up doubling the feeding on my tomato plants, adding the second dose the day after initial feeding as the nutrient level was so low. Even after doubling, the PPM was still about 500PPM less than the lowest recommended level for tomatoes, BUT I won't feed more than that I don't think. They're doing really well, and I'd be seriously depressed if I hurt them, so I'll test the water and based on the results, feed just under double of the Nutes and the regular dose of CaliMagic, then test the water later the same day and again the following day.
I wouldn't recommend doing that for your plants as YMMV, and I'd hate for you to burn your plants. I use distilled water and have been changing water once a month, since I add so much water every two days. Three heavily laden tomato plants really suck up a LOT of water!
