These are 3 of the 4 sacrificial cilantro I had germinated in the pepper GAL, now moved to their own garden. The 4th is smaller so I left it for now in the stronger Bounty to catch up.

Looking great, but lift the light, the left Cilantro looks as if it is touching the lamp.

Yes that one is definitely taller. I’ve since plucked the tallest stems (and ate them with my leftover curry ).

Fiirst let me say they all look great. Second, they always look clean and neat. I wish my counters were that spotless. Actually, I need new counters and cabinets too.

Actually, I need new counters and cabinets too. Same. I hate my counters and cabinets. Some day the sledgehammer will swing. But then where will I put all my Aerogardens??!

These were so lush, and they went downhill fast. I went to change the water and the roots were all slimy and dark and just fell off into the sink. I changed out the water and added nutes the next day, but I don’t think these will last long.

I cut off a ton of deteriorating stems. I don’t know why I’m trying to keep these alive. I wonder if it’ll survive the weekend while I’m gone. We shall see.

First I hope you have a nice weekend.
Next, I hope these survive for you. I know when mine start to do this I just chuck it and then start anew.

This is one of the reasons I love having my own gardens and seeds. If something fails (especially herbs) I can start fresh since they grow faster then peppers.

I am astounded that these are still alive. These roots were so dark and slimy that most of them fell off when the pods were lifted out for water change. And they’re so young! Well, they’re still alive after my brief absence. Of course, after their feeding yesterday they probably taste horrible right now, but we shall see.

These came back so miraculously. The roots had been slimy and dying, but they recovered and grew like crazy. I just gave them a severe prune to see if I get some fresh sprigs before terminating them.

They did come back nicely.
I heard for older longer growing plants that when the roots are slimy or brown to put a teaspoon of peroxide in the water every feeding. Have you ever heard of this? It is supposed to help keep roots healthy and encourage growth.

Yes, and I think I might’ve done exactly that. These were fairly young when it happened so I was taken aback. I don’t think I would’ve tried to save them had they been older, because the roots were so bad off.

Good to know, because if it helped yours I would tend to try it myself now if I ever experience that.

That was an amazing recovery! I'm glad they survived. I wish I had more open counter space. I have fairly large appliances on most of mine.
