Can someone tell me what this might be? I want to transplant into my other hydroponic setup, but I don’t want to cross contaminate.   Roots look ok. |

carmen, I am far from knowing everything I am doing but it looks like it may be mold. Have you tried to take a cotton swab with some peroxide and dab those spots? It may help it killing it off if it is indeed mold. If uneasy about using peroxide carefully scrape it off. If still using a dome do not use, let air circulate. Is it overly humid in that area? If so try using a fan (not directly on the plants) to circulate some air. Like I said I am still learning but I am sure as others come on today and tonight someone may have a better answer for you. BTW, in the past when I saw white or green for that matter, I have carefully used either a wet cotton swab or one with peroxide and it corrected the problem.

I haven't been using a dome on it for a while. I have been regularly harvesting the dill as it has grown the tallest the fastest and keeps getting so much higher than anything else. This is the only pod that has done this. I'll try the peroxide when I get home. Hope it works. My wife likes dill.

This has happened to me before, too. I don’t know wha it is either, but I’ve read that it isn’t a problem (that is, if they and I were talking about the same thing).

One more question - I can’t tell from the pic, but is the white stuff also on the roots? I’m assuming that’s why you included a pic of the roots.

They just had a slight brownish\orange tint to them. No tlike rot, but just looked a little off to me. I am assuming it is just the nutes coloring them, but I included it just to be sure  |

It’s good it’s not on the roots - I think that could be a problem versus on the top.
Regarding the darkened roots, that’s been happening to me since I opened a new bottle of AG nutes. It seems like I got a new batch with a different formulation, because this batch is thicker, almost muddier, and smells more. And it definitely changes the color of the water (and, hence, roots) more than it used to. We’ll see how that goes.

I didn't realize how big the bottles were going to be so I might start using them in the AG. Haven't decided yet. I am wondering if the seeds will still start as fast. It's amazing how fast the basil I put in there two days ago is already poking over the green labels in the grow anything pods. |

Basil is always such a gratifying grow, being so fast. It’s always good to have something fast growing when you’ve also got a long term grow going, like a pepper.

I use General Hydroponics Flora series (3-way) in all my aerogardens, and it works fine. But, not being pH buffered as well as the aerogarden nutes, it does require more attention (either in watching your pH and TDS or in just flushing and refilling every couple of weeks).
Whenever my AG says "add nutrients," I mix up a gallon, drain and refill, and the plants are plenty healthy for it.

I am already draining and refilling every two weeks as it is, so maybe it would work well for me. I have figured it's better to give fresh water and nutes anyhow rather than just topping off the water and putting two caps in. |
