I have been growing Banana Yellow Hots in pots in the summer..not for me(cause I hate hots), but as a repellent for the critters. However I find them slow and want a VERY hot seed that will grow more quickly. Any recommendations? The pepper should be of a considerable size and not thumbnail. Suggestions anyone?

There are no super hot peppers that produce quickly. Cayenne, Serrano or Kung Pao may work best for you. The Biker Billy is the hottest jalapeno, but the early jalapeno is pretty fast, and your neighbors will be happy to take them off of your hands.
Good luck.

I wish I knew more about hots to be helpful, but don’t. I was going to suggest an ornamental until I got to the end of your post. They’re usually hot, but very small fruit.

I went over to (whispers the name) ebay and purchased only 5 seeds of the Billy seeds .I will try germinating and growing them in March and putting them on the sun porch to harden them up and then pot a few outside this year. Thank for the suggestion. Oh! ....3-6 " of snow tonight and 70 degrees by Thursday! Go figure !

I had a ton of jalapeno seeds here I could have given you. We are supposed to get 3-4" then turn to rain. And near 70 on Thursday as well. Spring is coming!
