So, after my last water and nute changeout, apparently I never reconnected the power to the basin. So, for the last 6 days, for five minutes every hour, the base was telling the pump to go, but nothing was happening. I discovered this because I was chasing a teeny jumping spider around the AG and noticed the cords separated. Durrrr. No wonder the sponges didn't seem as wet and look like they were growing hairs. I am probably going to have to completely reset it.

Just plug it back in. It should not affect the Nutes alarm or anything. But now that it is working, your plants should start to grow. Give it a little longer for them to germinate.

It's funny that I didn't notice because the basil is starting just fine. Only my super hot pepper seeds are not. We will see how it goes.

I recommend getting a siphon. That way you don;t have to unplug and lift the reservoir out to dump the water. I have had several types and you can get them for a reasonable price online. They work wonders.

I may try that and also a small cheap aquarium air pump. Those hole with the rubber stoppers on top, I have the Harvest, I assume that is what they are for.

We’ve all done that, lol. It’s not a risky thing during germination as they don’t need much oxygen yet, but later it’s much more important. And yes, those little stoppers are for air or water tubes.

I have done that so many times!
And a few of the times I didn't do that, it turned out the pump needed replacing.
Been there; done that; got the mold.
