It took me at least 30 minutes to get the plant out of the machine from the first mystery wildflower grow. In retrospect, choosing the biggest seed from the pack was NOT the way to go... So this time, I chose smaller seeds (the 3 at the top, with #1 planted in the back): Seeds from Outside Pride, 3-4 per sponge (Balcony Wildflower mix - supposedly 10" and under) Sponges from Park Seed Cages and nutes from Aerogarden The pods have been loaded into the Sprout. Water and nutes will be added tomorrow.

It's Day 9 and all three pods have sprouted: I moved the middle one closer to the light post after taking this picture since it looks like it's going to be the biggest.

I can't wait to see what you get! I love wildflowers. When I was a kid, I'd collect bunches of them in the mountains. Wait...I still do!

Day 16. I unintentionally planted 2 different types of seed in pod #3. I hope they're compatible so I can leave one of each growing...

Day 20: I've had to shuffle the pods around again. From left to right: 1, 3, 2.

It's Day 22. I know that this picture looks almost exactly like the one that I posted 2 days ago, but there's one crucial difference - the one on the right has started to bloom! I think it might be Alyssum:

It's Day 27 - amazing how much they've grown in just 5 days! I'm afraid I won't be able to keep both plants that are currently growing in the middle pod. I'm just hoping that one will flower early so I can see it bloom before I have to sacrifice it for the sake of the other one. It's hard to see in this picture, but the center of the smallest one (the pod on the left) is white. I have no idea what that one could be.

Yes, I think the sudden growth in everything is sensing Spring

They look great! It's too bad the short guys will have to go, but it makes sense. At least now you can separate out the seeds you used as tall and short plants, naming the ones you know and solving at least part of the mystery.

This was taken yesterday, on Day 33. I had to raise the hood twice in 3 or 4 days. There are buds now on both of the middle plants:
