I decided I'm staying with my folks for the next week and a half. I need help changing the bandages on my foot, it's too difficult by myself.
I'll be stopping at home first to check the plants after work.

Mike, I think that is a good call. You need your foot to heal correctly and you need to be sure it does not get infected.

I must have missed the post where you mention your foot was not in the best shape.
Whatever the problem, I send good thoughts .
If you have a good HMO you might want to contact your Primary Care Doc and have them send a visiting nurse to change bandages properly.It is probably just a co-pay.

I didn't realize you have mobility issues. That stinks. I'm sorry to hear that.
It's wonderful you have parents still alive. My parents would be 103, now. My mom was almost 100 when she died. My grandmother, mother's mother, was 105. My father was only 62. I was a late in life baby. Both my parents were 42. My brother is 16 years older, and my sister 13. I was a celebration when my father got his second Doctorate degree, lol.

I was pickling hot sausage on Saturday evening. My natural klutziness bumped glass off the counter and it shattered. My left foot landed square on glass. 16 stitches and an ambulance ride later, I finally went back to work today.

They might have, if anyone else could do my job. My boss doesn't even have a clue on the new software and how it's used. I wish there was someone else there so I can relax and take a vacation, now and then.

I had my stitches removed yesterday and everything is healing well. I'm staying at home again as of today. Busy, Busy, Busy...

Thank you. It is still very tender. Pressure on it still hurts, but not as much. Sleeping at home again will help. Last night was a pretty good night of sleep. My place is quieter and darker than at my folks place. Plus, no pets to wake you up at night.

You are right, Corinne. My parents are my best friends. I picked up Papa Murphy's Pizzas on Friday to take over there on Friday, even a Smores Pizza for my Mom. That place is awesome.
I just figured out why I have had serious Edema problems with my feet. This Doxycycline Hyclate antibiotic the hospital prescribed is causing massive problems. It's sucked I can't even put on my shoes. It's a good thing I received special slippers yesterday. Geez. I was down to the last two tablets, but just the same.

I only had two tablets left before I was done with it anyway. But the swelling is a pain.
