I am so grateful to my sister for helping me get the rest of these planted after I got sick. I couldn’t have done it without her. It’s amazing how much growth the first ones planted (Black Krim and Jaune Flamme in another thread) grew having been planted earlier, but purchased at the same time. Goes to show it’s best to transplant as soon as you can. Lemon Boy and a Tomatillo Frosted Green Doctors’ and Sunrise Bumblebee Stupice and Red Grape; Paul Robeson and Madame Marmande Stupice, the earliest producer Red Grape, also early

How great! I've not had many of those. It will be exciting to see how they turn out.

It is going to be 80 today and tomorrow. The drop to 47 on Sunday. Then be in the 55 to 60 range.
I better not get sick with these temp changes.

Ill take late tomatoes over the summer heat we have 8 months of the year anytime. In fact, I’ll take no tomatoes at all, lol. I have no life 8+months of the year. I just can’t take it. It was 97 degrees the other day. I died.

Red Grape toms The day after I snapped the pic of ripe ones, 2 of the 3 were gone. So I immediately ate the 3rd as I knew that morsel would be taken too. It was really sweet. Just a delightful burst of juice. But these are so small I really could’ve used the other 2.😆 Madame Marmande. I hope they ripen before they snap off. Stupice, the early Czechoslovakian living up to its name with 3 nearly ripe fat cherries. And last, the biggest surprise, my favorite from last year, Galina, came back on its own. And is fruiting. It is sick, just like last year, as was my sister’s (we bought them from the same vendor) and I’m guessing that’s why they didn’t offer it this year because the seed is infected. I was specifically looking to buy another this year because despite its problems it was so incredibly sweet, and I was so disappointed. Now I have it anyway. I should’ve been feeding it to give it a stronger chance. I finally fed it yesterday, so we shall see. Sickly But I have some ripe fruit!

The Madame Marmande is finally changing color. This was the Tomato of the Year from the Tomatomania vendor, so I am keen to taste them. These are so low on the plant I hope they don’t get taken by ruffian critters. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Uh oh, now I am awash with tomatoes and need to get creative to not waste any. None are duds. All are sweet! Juane Flamme, Galina, Sunrise Bumblebee, and my first Lemon Boy. (On the bottom unseen are some red Stupice and Red Grapes.)

Ooos and Aaaahs! Not only for the toms, but for the grass as well! Today mine had squirrel holes all in the grass and mulch and a big fat honkin' gray squirrel was IN MY PEPPER PLANT!!! I give up and give Kudos to Mary!

I give up and give Kudos to Mary! Remember last summer when the furry bandits made off with so much of your bounties? And I said I didn’t have a problem except on the way catty corner side of the garden (none of those many toms ever made it to ripe stage), probably also because I have an avocado tree? Weeell, this year I planted only on the “safe” side of the garden, and they FOUND me!!! AAAARGH!!!!! So far, the heaviest producers are the Stupice (red Czechoslovakian) and the Juane Flamme (the light orange sweet one - French, I guess) and they will definitely be welcome back next year.

It seems to be your year to try out and venture into the land of unusual toms! Tell me, Mary..how large is this plant? Is it something I could grow on the sunporch through this fall or, in your estimation is it too big for a large patio pot indoors ?

My hunch is you can grow it on the sun porch with proper staking, but I will go out and measure the height. They’re due another visit anyway
