Hi All,
Yesterday I started my first garden in my new Bounty and everything seems fine. I heard the pump start once after the water was full and pods were set in the deck but haven't heard it running since.
Does the pump come on on off by itself? It's completely still and quiet and I'm wondering.
Thx,
NanO

Hello Nano, We are happy to have you here. Your question is a common one with the larger machines. When you first plant a garden, it is in Germination mode. The pump will run one hour then off for 11 and run 1 hour and off for 11. This is a two week time frame. Then it will run 24 hours a day. Since you heard it when it first went on you should be good to go.

Thanks so much Shawn!
If that was in the literature I missed it. I was wondering how the nutrients would disperse so I'm glad it runs from time to time over these first two weeks.
I'm glad to be here! I'll be reading lots of previous comments and post from time to time as well!

Your Welcome Nancy!
They change their literature that comes with the packaging from time to time so it is always best to ask if not sure. No silly questions here!
BTW, The Pump in your Harvest garden will automatically run 5 minutes of every hour. But always make sure the connections are together no mtter the machine. I once did a dump and refill and forgot to plug the pump in and later found it so mkae it a habit to check from time to time.

Thank you Shawn,
How often do you do a dump & refill? Isn't it difficult when you have plants growing? What about the roots?

It is said to do them every other feeding but I do mine every other month. I have a battery operated siphon I use. I have also just carried the bowl to the sink and dump it. Roots can get wild. If you read thru the many thread you will see some amazing roots. I personally turn my plants every few days to try and keep them contained. After months and months of roweing I have also trimmed. Take a look here for a wealth of info. I am sorry I can not type more, my alloted sitting time has ended as I used most of it when I sat for dinner.
