TWINNY DOUBLE BLOOM SNAPDRAGONSA prolific variety of snaps suitable for a tall machine.
Parkseed has these in many pastels and the blooms are not the usual snapping dragon's mouth, but a pretty frilly cluster of double blooms.
Projects can be seen in GAL pages.
PETUNIA PIROUETTEA very very pretty frilly flower that can be grown in an average machine like the Harvest or taller.
Copious flowers.
I Shawn, grew these and they are very nice. Just be aware that the leaves, stems and flowers have a very sticky feel to them.
Dianthus Sweetness which grow not tall at all and bloom well.
SNAPTINI (hybrid)
A TRUE dwarf snapdragon, perfect for the Sprout machine. Final Height is under 6" tall! Colors are vibrant.
project photos on my AG garden page.
ANGELONIA
This flower grows the entire summer in dry, heatwaves too! it can be grown in the garden Starter and takes 2 months until buds begin to form. A slow grower, but worth the wait.
PHLOX DRUMMONDii
This short phlox is suitable for small machines and can be purchased from many vendors. The variety called 21st century is the best for the machines.
DAHLIAS FROM SEED
Bright and colorful blooms.
Grows best in a tall machine, spaced every other pod ,1 seed per pod.
WARNING FOR THOSE WITH ALLERGIES: lots of pollen
Seeds from Park have 100% germination.
POLKA DOT PLANT(HYPOESTES)
This plant is great for the harvest on up.
The beauty of the plant is in the leaves as there are no flowers. I grew this as a Faux Pointesetta in red and white, but it comes in pinks as well. note: the white is never a true white, but has a hint of pink.Great for a shady outdoor garden area too.
Here is my project and you can see for yourself!
VERY EASY BEGINNER PROJECT!
VINCA PACIFICAI first grew this flower in the Viva La Vinca Kit from AG, and then found seeds in other colors over on ParkSeed for a custom project. Since then I have grown them in machines and outdoors and they are Beautiful! Even the leaves are decorative and glossy.
Suitable for a Classic machine or taller. They love summer heat, but are great all year 'round.
Magellan Zinnias
The easiest, most colorful zinnia that I have grown in the AG.
The plants I started in the early Spring for outdoors are still blooming profusely in my EB's
with humongous flower heads!
Tall Machine or Classic/Ss6
Plant tends to have a wide span over the deck.
A WINNER with me!(literally)
Profusion Zinnias
Another great flower that I tried this year and will grow again is the Double Bloom Profusion Zinnia from PArkseed.
Bright white with a large yellow center.
1 seed will fill half a deck!
Spreading and prolific. PROFUSE!
Geraniums called 'Nano' after their small size is a prolific bloomer, yet the plant stays
very short. IDEAL FOR THE AG THEY DON;T STRETCH TOWARDS THE LIGHTS.
Fast becoming my favorite geranium.(parkseed)
Another taller geranium is the Maverick from Parkseed.
It also is a prolific bloomer, but will reach max height in a tall machine unless the plants are pruned back ..which cause the blooms to delay. Great for outdoors or as a soil window plant.
Calibrachoa
Like the cascading petunia, Calibrachoa is colorful and prolific!Only, the flower itself is half the size.
These are very popular all over the cities in hot weather because heat doesn't bother them.
This project lasted forever and bloomed every day for months after it began.
I grew it in a tall machine and even have one hanging outside.
Easy to grow! A flower lover's favorite for the AG IMO!.
Parkseed and many other vendors. BUT MAKE SURE IT IS THE ORIGINAL ONE GROWN FROM SEEDS.IT WILL SPECIFY.
EASY WAVE hybrid PETUNIASThese are pelleted seeds from Park Seed.
They took 2 months to get buds, but they are well worth the wait.
These are a cascading variety, suitable for an outdoor hanging plant having large trumpet-like frilly flowers.
The buds are copious.
vendor is Park Seed, but they are all over the internet.
LEMON DROP MARIGOLDS
Excellent flower bearer.
Seeds are from Botanical Interests, found all over the internet .
Suitable for a Tall Machine. Not because of height, BUT because of the room needed for plentiful roots.
I grew my project in a Harvest and had to cut the roots way back.
GREAT for ongoing blooms!
