These have moved along pretty well I think. And, I think I spy what will be a bud in the 2nd picture. Not sure, but hope so.

Yours are growing really good. I hope that is a bud you have there.

Now this must be a bud. What else could it be?

Yup, it’s a bud. And it’s about to burst! And this 2nd one I suddenly have is clearly going to be pink!

Put ice cubes in the containers, or an R&R.

I’m working on an R n R now. I found an unusually high amount of algae. This is the 2nd time with this machine. I’m very perplexed because I’m fairly obsessive about cleaning things and killing pathogens. So I’m scrubbing down the machine, separated the deck to get everywhere, but the algae is still all over the sponges, and the roots don’t look happy. So we shall see.

That is so strange, isn;t it!? At this mature stage and with everything covered and blocking the light!

How painful to have this happen to your beautifully mature plants! Is the pump working okay?

Is the deck sitting firmly on the bowl? Is the tank fill cover completely down? I once found that on both counts mine was not sitting right. I have since bought black masking tape to hold those covers down. Also if I lost a plug (the tiny witch hat looking things) I cover it with the black tape. If I get a white machine I will buy white tape to keep on hand.
Mary, if I know you, you will bring them back

MaryL, today I looked at my flowers and some not all of the leaves were looking sad so I took the deck off to look and while the water looked ok I saw algae on the pods as well. On the sides of them to. So I cleaned the bowl, changed the water. Also I took each pod and rinsed then under cold water to remove any algae.
So now it is all clean and I will wait to see what happens.
(Will also be crossed posted in my thread.)

Well I think I might’ve found the source of the problem. *Maybe*. During the R n R as I was running the pump with the bleach solution, I noticed that the deck is slightly warped, such that the front right is tilted up just enough that the water doesn’t really come out that little spout in the deck. So I’ve weighted it down with what I had on hand (circled in blue). I don’t even know if it’s heavy enough so no idea if it’s working. It also doesn’t necessarily explain the 2nd plant’s problem located on the left side (but since I only thought of that 2nd pod just now, I didn’t check the water flow for that one. The algae was overwhelmingly on the right side of the deck). I do believe that the R n R has helped a lot, but I don’t know if it’s enough to save that beautiful first bloomer.
