That is a huge possibility of the problem. I had that SAME issue with one of my machines. That is why I bought the black tape. I tape the sides down so the deck sits flat. Can you contact AG, maybe they will send you another deck.
Now that you found the problem maybe it still has a chance. Also, I see them blooming, how nice. Now we need to finish triage on the right one

and the color is so pretty, too. I noticed that when I dismantle my tall machine ddecks for cleaning it warps the deck and I quit doing that unless there are clogged wells. I noticed that even though the tops of the deck are snapped back into place, a green algae grows all around the deck through the seam. but not on projects with huge leaves like my cukes.
I think you found the problem's source.

Thanks, Corinne. Aside from the white, I had no idea what would come up. The red and pale pink on the left are from the Mix packet. Behind that, which is too small to see and has not yet bloomed, is from the Rose packet. That one was also afflicted with the wilt (inexplicably given it’s location catty corner from the most algae). It seems to have recovered though, thankfully. I’m excited to see who everyone becomes.

Not really much change, except the pretty pink buds opened more to reveal their true colors. I love that. And I switched some pods, most noticeably the white pod. I ended up tossing the damaged pod. It just was too weak to recover, and I didn’t want to run the risk of any leftover pathogens re-infecting the water. In its place I temporarily parked a cilantro pod that, wait for it, actually germinated. Interestingly, and somewhat sadly, my snaps have not developed that hallmark vertical extension of buds that you guys have. Perhaps that strange algae bloom stunted them a bit. But, happily I do have teeny buds on new stems that will make their way eventually. It will be interesting to see if those become stunted too. They’re pretty, nonetheless, and I’m happy.

While it’s not spectacular, it’s finally filling in after a rough start.

I finally have the vertical ascending buds you guys have! I’d say these are finally recovering.

This will look nice with the verticals in the back and the shorter ones in front.

Two days ago I did a major cleaning and R n R, and I also rearranged the pods. The major cleaning (hot soap scrub of the unit as well as in between decks) was because I saw algae encroahing again. In pod holes especially. Though you can’t see it in the pic, there are vertical buds on the right that are toppled over from the stress (maybe from separating and tearing of the roots?). They will recover I’m sure in the cleaner environment.

I also removed a 2nd underdeveloped runt pod. I figured I should let the stronger plants get all the nutes and clean water.
