Since my GAL inside ended , I will use that Harvest to grow more Lettuce Basil which we LOVE and NEED more of. So I will use the Iconic nutes in that. Question MaryL , do I use it from day one or wait?

I’m not sure but can’t imagine why it would be much different than using AG nutes from the beginning. Maybe start with half dose to be safe.

I’ve been using the cilantro and lemon basil on some chicken tikka masala I got from Costco. Yummy.

MaryL, I love Chicken Tikka Masala . I need to go to Costco to get some. We had an excellent Indian restaurant here but they went back to India three years ago and I miss it so much.

Ok, majorly freed up space. I removed the parsley and cilantros into a terminated flower garden (with a Sweet Heat pepper, for now) and spaced out the basils, which is my usual practice. I removed the other herbs partly because of Rialle’s experience with growing basil separate from other herbs (and their respective reactions to nute amounts), and partly because I never like to have more than 3 herb plants in a garden. I did an R n R with minimal AG nutes and I hope that makes them happy.

Looking good. I have not found issues growing my Basil with other herbs Maybe it is certain herbs it does not like other then what I am growing. Hmmm I may have to test that at some point.

Haven’t posted on this in awhile. They got really big, but I wasn’t happy with how they were growing. So I gave them a big hack and hope it hit the reset switch.

The 2 lemon basils on the right became very crowded and needed more space, so I cut their conjoined roots apart and moved one into the watering hole like Happy did with one of her gardens. I really love the spacing like this because I usually only want 3 herbs in a Harvest and this allows them to be equidistant from each other. I can’t really achieve that with how the regular holes are laid out. Now I just have to find a good way to cover up the rest of the watering hole. Gave this an R and R while I was at it, but used all tap water (water softened = sodium) instead of distilled. We’ll see how they do.

Now I just have to find a good way to cover up the rest of the watering hole. Mary, I use a "disposable" paper plate or the bottom of a frozen meal tray to cut the templates I show in the link below. The first post in the thread shows the shape I cut for adding one pod. The last post in the thread shows the shape I cut for adding 2 pods (for early seedlings or small herbs). aerogardenaddicts.com/post/13327/thread
