Park Seed Lettuce Vulcan planted in my Classic 7 on September 6. R&R on September 20 with FloraNova Grow. This lettuce is as soft and floppy as they come. I've never raised a lettuce this floppy. (I usually go for the sturdier romaine types.) The taste is so mild that the leaves are almost flavorless.  |

Do you think it is the heat from the hood or perhaps a late harvest? I take it you are not enthused. it is a variety I would give a go, though personally, and am jotting down the name.

I looked at all of my other CFL gardens, and all of the other greens are saluting proudly! I know that you like Salad Bowl, and this might be a similar variety. I know what you mean, though I haven’t grown this one exactly. I end up torn between enjoying how delicate and sweet the leaves are, and feeling as if I can’t even manage to dress it with the tiniest spray of olive oil. So if I want naked greens, in combo with other stuff, it totally works. But not, for me, otherwise.
