Here I have an AG Tom garden consisting of 1 Red Heirloom Cherry and 1 Golden Harvest. I had been germinating these with several pepper plants, but it’s time they have their own home

Very nice. Will you be placing covers over the holes? I am sure you will but had tot ask.

Oh you’re right, Corinne! In all the moving madness I hadn’t noticed. I must remember to cut. Shawn those holes are driving me crazy, lol. I don’t have enough sewer covers though. Need to buy more. Incidentally, I went to put some of my white covers into my new Harvest and noticed they won’t fit flush. I’ll bet the company changed the shape inside the pod holes slightly so we’d have to buy their covers, which are less attractive.

"sewer covers" LOL I don’t know why all of a sudden I called them that, after all this time, lol. Per Corinne ‘s observation, I pared the tom plants down to one per pod. And, though it’s almost too late to do this, I topped them as well. Maybe I shouldn’t have removed the others until it became clear that I topped them successfully.

They’re getting quite a bit bigger. And I’ve parked one of the mystery basils here temporarily. (I don’t even remember why, or where it was.)

Pic of the plant on the right. The mystery basil was blocking the view of the whole garden from the front, hence the one tom pic. I’ve got lots of flowers on each plant. Edited to add pic with the mystery basil removed.

I actually suddenly have lots of teeny fruit formed. They seem to pop up out of nowhere sometimes!

I suddenly have an overachiever with this new branch that has popped up on the top right, out of proportion to the rest of the plant. It will grow into the cfl bulbs soon, whereas the rest of the plants don’t need the lights raised yet. So I’m thinking of cutting it off and sacrificing the little buds I have there. Because if it suddenly grows into the light overnight and burns, I’ll have lost it anyway. You can see in the second picture how much longer the branch is above the others. It’s a couple inches longer.

Mary, I have done some cutting in the past of wayward pepper branches.

It’s hard when they have buds on them, but will be harder when they have teeny fruit on them. I think I should cut now. Get the pain over with.
