what and how much and when are you feeding them? What machine are they in? How many plants? Is your water heating up inside the tank? ditto Shawn: can you post a photo?

Actually I am downloading from my files Yes they may be too large. If you can please use a repository, that would be appreciated. It helps keep costs down on the forum for me. We only get so much storage space. Plus repositories are free and many easy to use. |

I am not sure if I am right but when I looked at the water there was a gob of something white, plus I had more than one plant growing.
I seperated the plants and cleaned the water, will see what happens

I am waiting for mine to turn red (and yellow) too. I am not yet at the point where it is too long (only 62 days), but it is hard to be patient. Aerogarden says 70 - 84 days.

I am now on day 80 and the tomatoes are getting color. I have 40+ ripening now, plus many smaller green ones, and more flowers. I plan to pick the first ones soon.
I have five AeroGarden heirloom tomatoes in a Farm+. It is a tight fit and I trim often to keep them from growing into each other. I think this is necessary because where they have grown into each other it gets very dense and holds moisture. Some time the leaves are actually wet.
I have been using AeroGarden nutrients. I add the suggested amounts but also an extra cap full about once a week (anytime I add a lot of water). I also added some Cal-Mag but rather small amounts and rather randomly. I was changing the water often but have stopped. I suspect that at this point the tomatoes like the nutrient build up more than fresh water.
I have acidic water here and tomatoes seem to make it even more acidic. Ph continuously drops in the tomato farm. I test about weekly and raise it to 5.5-6.5 when it drops below 5.5. It has gone below 5.0. I have not actually noticed harm from the higher acidity in the tomatoes, but I have in other plants.
Other than that, AeroGarden seems to do all the work.

Actually I do not know much. However you may want to thin out some of the older leaves to give some air flow. Shaking the leaves can help separate the ones stuck together by moisture. I am sure the tomato people on the board will also chime in.

Also different areas and their water always produce different results. I know for me, I do not ever check ppm or pH. I am able to use my regular tap water. But others may have to use distilled or check their ph etc. It is great you are testing what you are growing and making adjustments and getting good results. |
