Hello! This is my first Aerogarden. My thyme roots seemed to be thin, squiggly and looked like they “popped” up before growing. Now my thyme is growing sideways and doesn’t look like it has a strong root base.. does anyone know what to do or should I leave it and keep pruning it back once it gets to the other plants?! I’m not sure how to show a picture on here..

Welcome! I would need to see a picture. I am growing thyme new myself. View This thread on how to post pictures 😊

How far is the light from your thyme? Whenever I've had plants start growing sideways, it was normally due to a lack of light.

I have had my thyme grow sideways and it is right under the light. Thyme is not a typically sturdy plant and can fall over. That is why I want to see a picture. I have some growing now (I need to update my thread).

My thyme is trailing instead of upright. I moved mine outdoors into a container, and it looks very attractive spilling over the sides. It also got huge!

Late to this discussion, but my young thyme also is growing sideways. I've been rotating the pod so that the direction of growth is facing away from the center. In a few hours the thyme is flopping back towards the center again. I think this is normal - when I've grown thyme in pots I've had to rotate the pots often to ensure even growth.
