Started four pods, with three Japanese Wasabi Radish seeds from Baker Creek in each pod. No nutes added yet. I'm a bit worried if these seeds will be good - a fair number of the seeds in the packet showed signs of germinating then drying out (cracked hulls) which I've never seen with a packet from Baker Creek. I'm hoping that enough of them will still be alive.

I had no need to be worried, all four pods have germinated!

These were long overdue for nutes, added 6ml.

The one in the bottom right looks a bit rough, but I think it will pull through.

I'm not too happy with how these are growing, they seem to be cracking more than other radishes and some of the leaves look bad. That may be my fault for neglecting them nutrient-wise, so I'll keep a closer eye on them.

I checked the PPM and it was < 50. Oops.
Added 6ml of nutes.

I'm going to try them as is first - if they're too strong for me, I'll slice them very thin, dehydrate them, and turn them into a powder - but otherwise I'll eat them raw, maybe slice them into smaller cubes, freeze them, and eat one from time to time.

Since I got mine planted, I was looking online for ways to use them.
I may try making a small amount of "wasabi" paste using one finely grated radish. I may eat one raw, sliced in paper thin slices. And I will probably dehydrate slices from the rest.
Assuming mine grow!
