Hello everyone, Pulled the trigger and bought 2 farm units, I got the Farm Plus and the Farm XL stacked in my entry way. See pics to see my set up. On the Farm plus I planted a variety of lettuces on one side and a variety of Tomato plants on the other. Bottom left I planted: Baby Romaine, Black Seeded Simpson, Gourmet variety, and Salad variety. Bottom Right I planted: 2 Red Robin Tomatoes 2 Yellow Dwarf Tomatoes 3 Aerogarden Might Cherry Tomato - came from 1 pod which I transferred to 2 other pods giving me 3 total 1 Yellow Pear Tomato - this one will be going outside once it gets a little bigger since it grows really tall On the top unit I decided to go with peppers. Top right I planted: 4 Anaheim Peppers Top Left I planted: 4 Sweat Bell Peppers My brother was messing with the Tomatoes before I transferred them over from my Harvest elite to the Farm and we got the Red Robin Tomatoes and the Aerogarden Cherry tomatoes mixed up, they look very similar. This is my first time growing anything indoors, I am excited to see where this hobby leads. I will be posting pics let me know if you have any questions, advice is always welcomed since I don't know exactly what I am doing yet, learning as I go. I'll add pics later not sure How to do it just yet.

Welcome, lolo2202. What an impressive array of Aerogardens you purchased!
I hope you find this hobby as addictive and enjoyable as we all do!
My only suggestion is that the tomatoes and peppers may be a bit crowded. If you find that to be the case, you can always move some of them.
Again, welcome! And keep us updated on your progress!

Welcome and happy to see you post. Looks like a nice selection you have growing. I love my Aerogardens and being able to grow indoors any time of the year.
To post pictures, you will want to review this thread on how.
Again, welcome and we look forward to heard and seeing more of your gardens.

Hello Everyone, I think I finally figured out the pictures. Thanks for the help on the thread, I would not have figured it out with out your guys help. Below is my set up, the tomatoes are on on day 14 its the unit on the bottom Right and lettuce on bottom Left. The Pepper are going on day 5. It's the farm unit on the top. Some of the seeds started germinating today. Once the seedlings reach the top I will post pictures. The lettuces are going on day 5, you can see in the picture that the seedlings just reached the top. Pretty soon the domes can come off. So after further research I learned that all the tomatoes except the Yellow Pear Tomatoes are all dwarf tomatoes. I guess I wont need to worry to much about the pruning, but I will see as they get bigger. it seems like they are growing about half an inch a day give or take. Thanks Sher for the advise, I went and got some ceramic pots incase I need to transfer some of the tomatoes.

Look like it's time to snip out those multiple plants per cell too. Thin to one.

Good Morning, Here is an update on my farm. I set the up the units 9 days ago today. Still amazed at how fast everything is growing. The peppers just started germinating yesterday, will show an update on those later in the week. The lettuce is growing strong, Black Seeded Simpson which is the one on the back is growing the fastest. I thinned the Baby Romaine to one plant per pod it's the 3 pods in the front. I was going to the same for the others but from what I read it is not needed, but seeing how big and bushy the Baby Romaine was I thought it would be better. Also it looks like the Gourmet Lettuce Seeds, 3rd row from the front started turning red or 2 of them did, the other one is going to stay green it looks like. The lettuce variety 2nd row from the front is doing fine too, only one pod did not germinate, but the seed split in half, wondering if maybe the seed did not get enough moisture. I'll give it a few more day's and maybe try putting another seed and see what happens, I think it could also be that the sponge is to high in the pod. The Tomatoes are doing great too. Elainev- thanks, I went ahead and thinned the tomatoes, The 3 pods in the front came from one pod, it's the Yellow Pear Tomato, couldn't bring my self to trashing them so I put them in empty pods and I will move them out side once they get a little bigger. I am really looking forward to these, I think it's cause they are supposed to look like yellow pears. The 2 Dwarf Yellow tomatoes had 2 seedlings each so now I got 4 of them, but I think one of them is not going to make it. The other 5 Tomato plants are 2 Red Robins and the 3 Aerogarden Mighty Mini Tomato I think the 2 on the left are the Red Robins since they look just a little different from the other 3 which I think are the Aerogarden ones, they have a little more purple in the color. The Yellow Pear and Yellow Dwarfs are on day 9 and the other tomatoes are going on day 16 I think.

I haven't tried tomatoes yet as I'm looking forward to the Earthbox summer harvest. THEN I'll be ready. Been reading a lot. Decided I wanted to try Patio Princess Hybrid Tomato, but when it came time to order seed, hard to find. Finally gave up an ordered some from the only (one) source I found. Keep us posted on the progress of the various types. I find it very interesting.

Hi everyone, This is an update on day 13 The Sweet Bell peppers and the Anaheim peppers finally grew, at the time it seemed like it was taking a long time, but when I look back I feel that it went by pretty fast. So I realized having these Aerogarden Farms is a great conversation starter, when people enter my home because the lights are so bright they always ask about it. I've even had a few of my non gardening type of friends and family members go and purchase their own farm units. Its great! Here is an update on the lettuce, I replanted the one you see with the dome last night, I took out the seeds that were inside and put 3 seeds of Black Seeded Simpson, since I noticed it is growing the fastest, so is the baby romaine, just started growing really fast the last couple of days. Below are the tomatoes, I transplanted the 3 Yellow Pear tomatoes and 1 of the Aerogarden Mighty Mini tomato to small pots. Thanks to other threads I been reading through on this site; I learned that you have to harden your plants before officially transplanting them. In about a week I will officially transplant them to this 17 gallon pot. If anyone wants me to include pictures and updates on how the ones that will be transplanted outside let me know. The tomatoes are starting to bush out and growing very slowly upwards. Here are the Anaheim peppers on the left and the Sweet Bell peppers on the right, these are going on day 12 I have 1 or 2 seedlings growing in each pod. I placed the pods in the holes that were getting better water flow from the machine along with the air stones that I placed in each unit, once I did that it seems they all germinated a few days later, although my family think's its all in my head. Tomorrow is my first feeding on the bottom unit after getting them. A friend who has one says he likes changing the water every 2 weeks instead of every other 2 week, he said his plants have done better because of that. I think I'll do that too and see how they do.

Everything is growing nicely. Yes, AG's are a great conversation stater. I have had people come into my home and ask about them as well. I do have "curtains" in front to cover them at night so the house it not lit up like a carnival.

Hello, This is an update on day 23 for the lettuce, day 22 for the peppers and day 28 for some of the tomatoes. A few things started happening during my grow these last week and half. Thanks to these threads and what other growers have experienced it was an easy fix. Below is a pic of what my farms look like now from far away. The garden is doing well, I've added additional fans to both farms. My Baby Romaine started to rot from the inside, the lettuce had to much moister, see pic below. I pinched off the brown and rot in the middle and with the fans going they are doing better now, I see new growth today. Another thing I noticed with the fan was that the lettuce started getting a little more volume, they are less delicate now. Because of that I decided to put one where the peppers are too I been told that it will make the stem and the pepper plant stronger. The lettuce has been growing the fastest I harvested a few lettuce leaves yesterday, my dog loves eating the leaves you can kind of see where he is always biting them, I started using the trellis to keep him out seems to help a little. Aerogarden needs to make a pet guard for these lol. My tomato leaves started to curl inside once the fan was placed they went back to normal. I started adding Cal Mag to the lettuce and tomatoes, I was having issues with the color on the leaves a few days after the the Cal Mag was added the color started to bounce back and the tip's on the lettuce started getting better too. By the way the Red Robin & the Aerogarden Mighty Mini Cherry tomatoes have all started to flower. I think I'm going to have tomatoes soon! So excited!!!! The peppers are doing great too. You will see more of them in the pic, I thinned them out and kept the ones that were not damage I am going to do the same with the peppers, once the they get a little bigger I want to transplant some of them into pots for back yard. I will add update again in a couple of weeks...
