THe peppers are doing really well. I had put in the chives and oregano but the chives are all wilted from overshadowing. I will have those removed later today. I will also have my mother remove the oregano and I will place it in the freezer.
Mark will shake the plants this weekend and feed them for me. If I were able to bend I would do it myself but no BLT's for me (bend, lifts or turns).

It's do good to see you posting, Shawn. I just put a big bag of basil in the freezer last night.

Nutes added and did they need them. They are a week late but I finally got them fed. Mark had added water for me but the reaper "forgot" to feed them. Anyway they look good and they were given a light shake and there are peppers. Now IF I can I will get a picture. I may not as I can not bend.

My recalcitrant pepper started blooming after a major root trim, but then dropped some of the blooms. I was thinking about taking it out, to give the other pepper more room in the Bounty. Then I read somewhere that peppers will drop their blooms if they're subjected to high and low temperatures.
The room that the peppers are in gets full afternoon sun, and it's been 80-88 degrees F. In the evenings, more like 74 degrees in the mornings. So I can hardly blame the plant for dropping blooms, can I? I do get attached to my plants, and always hate to terminate them. 😍

So do I, however over the years I found if they truly are not doing what they should I will replant.

ok so here are some pictures. I had no clue there were peppers (ok maybe only one or two) on the plants. They have not been pollinated other then by a fan since I can not bend.
The two sides: Hungarian Magyar: Please excuse the mess... Spanish Padron: I could not get the picture of the Como di Toro..

Don't you love it when you find harvestable peppers that you never noticed were there? I have to prune my banana and bell peppers tomorrow, and am hoping to see more peppers.

I just wish I could bend so I can thin some leaves out. Maybe I can have Mark do it. I am getting frustrated that I can't care for them. However thrilled there are peppers

The pepper pruning finally got done today. I find it hard to decide what to prune, and did a lot of twisting around to see underneath and above the plant. The growth patterns are kind of unpredictable.
You are no doubt a more skilled pepper pruner than I am, but probably you shouldn't do the pruning for yourself right now! (What I lack in skill, I do make up for in fearlessness, and the plants seem to survive.)

lynnee, I sat on a chair right in front of the plants amd trimmed what I could keeping myself safe. I did a pretty good job. At least with what I could reach.

Good job! I'd have probably done the same thing. The "no lifting, twisting, bending" stuff gets old fast, and you get good at finding workarounds. 😄

Tell me about it. Especially since this is my 4th back surgery. However this one was a lot of work. They had to remove then add hardware and it was several levels of it. I am only three weeks out today and feel ok at times but this is a bear as far as pain goes.

Sorry to hear that you're still having pain. 🙁🙁🙁
When I slipped on a sweet gum pod and broke my femur, the surgeon put in a titanium rod. He said that it would be "a mess" if I broke the bone again (at least before it was fully healed). Hardware removal is difficult in the best of situations, and I can imagine that the difficulty is greatly increased when your spine is involved.

Oh, geez! I'm so sorry about the pain and the difficulties too. For both of you, lynnee & Shawn!!

Oh, campingcorgis, I don't deserve any sympathy at present! The broken femur happened in 2016. It did require a 10-day stay in a skilled nursing center, a fair amount of rehab, and instructions about not lifting, etc. for a while. 🙂

Yesterday I was able to trim more leaves out and open them up for air circulation.
Well this morning we almost had a disaster. Reaper decided to clean the mess from the decks. That not only took pff some more leaves but also a few peppers. AND.... a flood!
I thankfully walked out into the room as this started and was able to get the center plug back in. I of course also bent down and twisted... which I should not have done but if I did not all that water would be all over my hard wood floor.
I yelled at the reaper and the reaper made some passive aggressive remarks. Thankfully the reaper will leave Wednesday morning if I can not make that happen tomorrow.
