This is driving me nuts. Why doesn't anyone have photos of the different stages of Pepperoncini peppers? New (Dark Green) Growing (Slightly Lighter Green), Almost Ready to Pick (Lighter Green and Traces of Yellow), Ready to Pick (Greenish Yellow), Past Picking (Pinkish Brown), Ripe (Red) I'm starting to take pics every day of a selection of them. I have to see the colors to know what I've read really looks like. I want to pickle these more often. Here are some newer ones from the top of the canopy.  |

What I've found already is my new cell phone doesn't know how to pick a pepper subject. A lot of out-of-focus shots. Tomorrow I'll use the SLR.

Actually, it's pretty good for most things. The peppers are all green. It can't tell what green thing to focus on.

mike, what phone do you have? I have the S21 and I had that same issue until I turned a setting off.

I have the Z Fiip3. It has the same wide and standard camera as the S21. It doesn't have the zoom.

I've only had it a week. I like it. My S10e had the internet stop working unless I used wifi. So they gave me $400 trade in because it was still under warranty. But it took me a month to get. I like the sound. I'm still working out the details. The biggest problem was my continuous glucose monitor isn't compatible. So I had to use their build your own app feature. That works pretty well. Now I have to figure out how to get my watch to load the app. No luck so far.

I've been staring at and taking photos of these every day for weeks trying to find that perfect yellow-green to pick these at. Past that and they lose flavor. Then I find this.  |

Yeah, but I don't have any energy to harvest, cut and pickle tonight. We are going through a really nasty winter storm today. The drive in to work was easy. Home about wiped me out. First clearing the snow off the car. Then a half hour drive normally became an hour and a half. It is unsafe to be outside today. And I have an audit at work tomorrow, Goodie!
