Spotted a new model on the AG site. A new version of the Harvest machine. It has the hood raises higher, allowing 18 inches instead of 12 inches and has 25 watt LED instead of 20. They are calling it the Harvest XL. Just in time for Christmas!

I would buy a couple of them in a heartbeat if I weren't getting rid of stuff in preparation for a move back home sometime next year.
Thanks for letting us know about them.

Good to start early! DH and I just grabbed the last 10 boxes from MIL's garage that she has chosen not to even open. They came with her on her move from San Jose in 2013!!! Sigh. Now they are in our garage instead, but it allowed us to clean up her garage. We built two shelving units and put items that needed containment into clear storage bins so she can see what's what. Whew! Glad that job is done!

If I had the space, I would buy one of these in a heartbeat. I normally only grow one or two plants per AG, so the Harvest unit with more height sounds perfect.

I will be reviewing the New Harvest XL this week. I have one here. I will be comparing it to the Regular sized Harvest.
More to come! Stay Tuned!

Aerogarden Harvest XL Review
Video Below ...
Basic Information. The Harvest XL comes in White or Black. I have the Black unit. It has a nice Matte finish on the top of the lights and the bowl. The deck is shiny and looks like the new Bounty decks. The grey deck is flush with the bowl rim. There are four holes with the rubber caps for the included Trellis System. This does not have to be used but is included as many will. The Harvest XL uses the same type pump as the others and there is the Fill To Here water sensor bubble.
The dimensions of the XL are:
Bowl: 12" W x 6-1/4" D x 6-1/4" H
Entire Unit: 12" W x 6-1/4" D x 13" H (light completely down) 12" W x 6-1/4" D x 24" H (light completely up)
Grow height: 6-1/4" up to 17-2/4" (light is 1/4" thick)
(Compared to the Harvest and Harvest Elite (10-1/2" W x 6-1/4" D x 5-3/4"H and 17" H)
Light
This has a 25W LED lights.
Control Panel
The Harvest XL has the basic instrument panel. There is an Add Nutrients button, Add Water button and the Lights (on/off) button. The light goes on automatically when you plug in the unit. However it is easy enough to change when you want them to go on. To set the "On" time, at that time, for this example we will use 5am. At 5am, press and hold the Light button for 3 seconds and release. It will blink. 15 hours after it goes on it will automatically turn off. NOTE: At any time you want to turn it off on your own, you can do so by pressing the button. Same for turning it on.
This unit uses the same standard pump which is nice. It also has a new Light Pole. As you will see in the video, the buttons are easy to use and more pleasing to the eye and streamlined. Like the 2019 units, this comes with a separate power adapter. I have not added water to see how much it holds yet, but I will update once I do.
If you have any questions, please ask and I will do my best to answer.
Excuse my wonky hands and bad manicure, I am over due LOL...

Shawn, do you have to be at the time of day that you want the lights to go on when you press the button to set the lights? That is, if you want them to go on at 3 am, do you have to press the button at 3am? I like the little gripper on the water fill cover. My Bounty Elites have flat covers that are hard to pick up sometimes. Very nice review, with all the dimensions stated!

Yes. If at 3am, you set it as 3am. I guarantee if they make the Elite in this model you would enter the time.

Very cool and thanks for the great review/overview, Shawn! It does look like a nice setup, nice machine. A very nice option for folks wanting a Harvest, but wanting to grow some taller plants too.

Thank you for the review! I like that double-locking light pole better than the ones that my Bounties have (which get very difficult to raise sometimes).
One very minor feature that I've seen on some AeroGarden knockoffs that I think would be nice to see on an official AeroGarden is a rubber stopper on the bottom of the basin - that makes it very easy to drain it for a R&R without needing to take the plant out or disturb the roots.

Put that suggestion in the Wish list thread. I would post link but on my phone and too difficult to do

Has anybody else noticed that the Harvest XL retains the timer thru a power outage?
It's happened a couple of times and I thought it was my imagination. Today, I lost power for about 10 minutes in the middle of the day. As usual the bounties lost the clock setting and the harvests delayed their off time by the amount of time the power was out BUT BUT, the XLs turned off at the correct time. All I can figure is that they have a battery backup for the clock (or a capacitor for a short outage).
I find this really strange cause aerogarden doesn't even mention it as a "feature".
If anybody could test it, just unplug your XL for about 10 minutes, plug it back in, and see if it turns off the lights at the preset time.

I donβt have a Harvest XL, but Iβve always thought that Wi-Fi connected devices like the Farms and Bounty Elites should be able to pick up without having to reset their clocks the way you have to on those machines when you lose power. Maybe they fixed that problem with the Harvest XL?

scarfguy, This is hard to check as there is no clock on it. However what I will do is plug my unit back in when the lights should be off and see if they go on at the appropriate time in the morning. Currently I plug the unit in and the lights do come on. That does not say it will keep the time they should shut off or turn on. I will let you know in the morning if they turn on when I had set it last.
Did you lights go off at the correct time? Did they come back on at the correct time today?
