After soaking and then germinating them in a paper towel, I planted some Kelvedon Wonder peas in my Bounty Basic a few days ago:
The little fellow on the right seems the most ambitious of the bunch, but the others are pushing up their little stalks as well. These are supposed to max out at around 20" tall, which should be just about right for a Bounty. We'll see! I'm looking forward to watching these grow, and hopefully getting a bigger harvest than I did from the Tom Thumbs.

The peas are doing okay!
At least three of them are. The fourth one couldn't quite finish sprouting so it was removed. It's a little strange how these three are growing at such wildly different rates, given they were all germinated at the same time and planted at the same time. We'll see how things develop!

I agree Shawn ! Peas are very cute plants and I really like watching them grow. My apologies for the blurry photo this time! The peas are really taking off now! Although we're down to two, since the third one never finished sprouting. I moved them to far ends of the unit to give them as much space as possible going forward.

I believe in them!
I got some CALiMAGic today and I gave them 4 ml, so maybe that will help them do their best!

The peas are chugging along!
I wanted to see if the one on the left would catch up to the one on the right, but it's not happening so I'm going to remove that 2nd tier of trellis and train them both along the first one horizontally so they get equal light.

If you do them again, you may want to try planting every pod.. when you plant shelling peas in the garden in soil, they are planted 1-2 inches apart depending on the variety and these say 4" so you would be good in the bounty. The root are shallow and being next to each other they support each other. Have fun!

Thank you airscapes! I had originally planted four of them in this unit but two of them petered out before they finished sprouting. It looks like the two still in there are enjoying the extra room, at least:
We have little white pea flowers now! I love the flowers

The peas are trying to take over my apartment:
(Please excuse the mess on the table 😳 )
It might have been a blessing in disguise that only two plants made it, because they've sure taken off! They're setting lots of pea pods and growing flowers all over. I'm giving the deck a 10-second shake every morning and that seems to be doing the trick.
Oh, and these are very thirsty little plants. I don't think we could go 48 hours without running the reservoir dry.

Let us know how they taste! My Tom Thumb peas have some full pods now. I shelled one today, and the little peas were great eaten raw! I need to update my thread with a photo soon.

It'll be a while yet for these before they're ready to pick, since they're listed as 75 days to maturity and we're only around 48 days. But I'll for sure let you know how they taste once they're ready!

Thank you Sher! I'm sure it must be the calmag you told me about that's helping them grow so well.
