Has anyone had success with growing lettuce in a Sprout (10w light)?

I've only grown romaine lettuce. I've grown it in a bounty and a harvest. Currently have some in a slim. I think it would need more room than what is available in a sprout. The light may be enough though.
I only grow catnip in the sprout... ... cause my cats said I have to.
Catnip grows really well in a sprout. It grows like a weed!... oh,... wait..., it is a weed. If you prune it every couple of days it gets really bushy and dense.

I'm not sure it counts as a lettuce, but I've grown arugula in my Sprout before. It did okay, but bolted very quickly. The flowers were pretty, but the leaves weren't very tasty after that lol
I've had the most success with low-growing herbs like oregano and thyme in the Sprout, otherwise the lights just don't go high enough for me.

Cats are like that, aren’t they? I wish that I still had cats to grow catnip for! We couldn’t replace our two, because of H’s asthma, but we had them for about 20 years. Catnip is a great use for a Sprout!

You can definitely grow lettuce in a Sprout! I've grown lettuce more times without a thread than with a thread, but I do have threads for Hønsesalat and Tennis Ball if you find them useful.

Maybe I should try arugula, then. The sage that I tried just died, and the thyme grew too slowly to be worth cultivating. I wonder why AG put such a weak light into the unit? The light raises to about 10” I think.

I had a nice crop of arugula growing in a slim this spring but as soon as the weather got warm, it bolted. Arugula will bolt very easily. SO... I tried some of that "slow bolt" arugula. As advertised, it didn't bolt BUT I didn't find it particularly tasty. It was pretty bland. Didn't have that nice peppery taste that I was expecting for arugula. Just terminated it and threw a couple of pods of romaine in the slim for the rest of the summer.

All right, the photos prove it can be done, so I'll try again. I have space for a Sprout downstairs next to a Bounty, and it would be lovely to have lettuce near the kitchen. We don't eat a lot of salads, but I like having fresh lettuce leaves for sandwiches.
