No, not yet. Car problems and other garbage. I may get a Bounty going in the next week. But not yet. My biggest electric bill by 80% has some to do with it, too.

Hello everyone,
I’m new to this forum and am excited to look around and learn techniques from the groups. I have collected a number of AG units for both school and home. This fall I planted petunias and gazanias outside my classroom. I’m looking forward to the fragrance of the petunias and the pops of color from the gazanias. After winter break, I’ll start tomatoes. My coworkers enjoy the fresh grown produce in the winter.

Welcome to the forum, Birdsatflight. Our hydroponics can be both thrilling and at times maddening. The best part is seeing the success. The most educational time come when a totally health plant suddenly takes a turn for the worse and doesn't make it. Stick with it and they will give you a great deal of pleasure.
Again, welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum birdsatflight! We have so much information and are here to help you if needed. I think it is wonderful that you have Aerogardens in the classroom. I know of one person who also does this and her students love it. Petunias and Gazanias are beautiful flowers and I bet all enjoys them.
We look forward to hearing about what you are growing and answering any questions you may have.
Again, Welcome Aboard.

Hi, birdsatflight! You are growing all of my favorites! One of the best things about Aerogardens is that you can start flowers and then easily transplant them outdoors. I started doing this in 2020, because I didn't want to stand in line at the nursery (COVID fears). Then I discovered that my AG transplants produced more flowers and lasted much longer than their nursery equivalents. Now I wouldn't dream of buying nursery plants for my outdoor flower box display ever again!

mike, I thought of going to lowes or home depot and looking for larger sized filters and cutting to size. Might be cheaper in the long run

Damn, need to order filters. I remember one of Khang Starr's videos where he says that those Green Scrubby Pads make excellent filters. Just cut them down to size and presto, new filter! I've never tried it...YMMV, and all the usual disclaimers, but if you've got some hanging out under the sink....

I've thought of that, too. In the end, a quick Amazon purchase is always easier. I still think I have another box. I grabbed the box I have and it was empty. My storage room where I keep my unused Aerogardens has some other supplies in it. That room is too damn full.

I am surprised. Both previous filters look like new after the citric acid bath. I had a few roots to pull out but they are being reused. I have water running through both Bounties.

Both sides of my Farm XL are cleaned and ready to be planted. I have a bunch of new seeds here and some more should be here this week. Since I have enough I will sit down and figure out which ones I will plant.

I'm soaking an old Bounty today. I want to give the Sweet Apple Kambe peppers another try. I've had poor luck with germination on these in the past. One more try with fresh seeds.

I have 10 new seeds. I will start 5, 1 each in 5 sponges in the Bounty. If that doesn't work, I'll put the remaining 5 in the Super Sprouter with a heating pad. I haven't used that yet. I've had it a while, though.

This weekend I will clean 2 more Bounties. Couple weeks ago, I bought a used bounty elite artisan off of FB marketplace. The grow deck and bowl were dirty with nutrient crud. Soaking and brushing the decks were a pain but so worth it. I need to make space for this new bounty.
