Today I planted 6 pods of Sweet Apple Kambe peppers in a brand-new Farm 12XL purchased from Woot! Three pods have one seed, three pods have two seeds--I planted more than I usually would, because mike got only a 50% germination rate. Mike's peppers looked so wonderful, I just had to try to duplicate his success!  |

Here's the setup. I'm going to have to replace those grow domes! I guess they dislodged when I set up the Aerovoir.  |

After 11 days, one pepper seed has germinated, and even has little leaves! I think that another three seeds have also germinated, but they don't have leaves. Photos to come soon!

Two of the seed pods germinated, but I had to end the garden early due to illness. I'll start another garden in a day or two.

Okay, I started over with the Sweet Apple Kambe peppers. Bounty Elite planted with at least 3 seeds per pod in 4 pods on 2/21/23. That should get at least one plant! Photos to come when there is something happening. |

Day 11 One Sweet Apple Kambe pepper pod has a seedling with leaves starting to poke up over the pod cover! I think that some of the other pods have seeds that have germinated, too. Photos to come soon.  |

The Sweet Apple Kambe seedling is coming along! Two of the other seeds have germinated, but the little shoots from the seeds aren't developing. Fingers crossed that they'll get cracking soon!  |

The Sweet Apple Kambe peppers are growing slowly. The seedling on the left was started on 3/12/23 (22 days), the one on the right has been going for 40 days. One of the latter's big leaves has some edema, but it didn't seem to warrant removal just yet.  |

The Sweet Apple Kambe pepper on the right--started from one of mike 's seeds--has blossoms! The plant seems more vigorous than the one started from seeds purchased on Amazon, which I think proves that Mike the Pepper King is the real deal!  I'm looking forward to these, a lot, but they're going to be a while.   |

I'm glad they are working out. Mine were pretty slow. I don't know if they gave an expected time to harvest. It did take a long time. Good luck. Wait 'til you taste them. They are so good.

Thanks for the link. They have several interesting peppers including the Hatch peppers that I have searched for. Tried to grow them from seeds I took from a pepper I bought at the grocery store with no luck.

The Sweet Apple Kambe Peppers are coming along, but none are ripe yet. There is one that is the size of a medium tomato at the bottom on the right-hand plant. It was the first fruit to set.  Closeup right plant:  Closeup left plant:  |

Those look great Lynnee. Remember, you don't want these to get fully ripe when you pick them. You want them when they start turning orange. They get soft really fast.
