Speaking for everyone here (which I have no right to do)...
slw , we will appreciate your sacrifice of purchasing a Harvest 2.0 for the purpose of providing us all with a thorough review! You know the old adage about a fool and their money.

slw, it crossed my mind, too, to purchase a Harvest 2.0 after watching the Aerogarden Experiments video. Then I remembered "curiosity killed the cat"!

TODAY 6/25/2024 - A photo tour of Scarfguy's gardens!
TOMATOES
1. The Yellow Taxi is still going strong at 135 days. Although described as a determinate, it yields a couple of tomatoes every few days, not overwhelming you with the whole harvest at one time.
2. This is a roma paste tomato from Poland called "zyska". The tomatoes are very meaty and firm. Should make a great Sunday sauce. Looks like it will be a good size yield.
3. This is a mini marzano! This is the first time I've seen a micro size marzano tomato. They claim a heavy yield of paste tomatoes for it's size.... We'll see.
PEPPER CORNER
This is the first time I've been able to space out peppers into clearly distinct growth stages.
1. ALOHA - A bell pepper that matures to a striped red and yellow pepper.
2. An orange Marconi and a purple Marconi.
3. A purple striped bull horn shaped pepper called "Violet Sparkle:
4. A red horn called "Ancient sweet". Also called "sweet twister"
THE OTHERS
1. Two varieties of Bok Choy. First time growing Bok Choy. The ones in the back row are called "baby bok choy" the ones in the front are called "dwarf pak choy". The pics on the packages looked much different but they are looking like the same plants. They won't yield as much as I had hoped. Gonna add it to some cole slaw and, if I get enough, I'll saute some bok choy and noodles.
2. The "wall o' beans" is sill alive! I'm definitely gonna get a third harvest and most likely a fourth harvest.
TO BE PLANTED SOON:
I have a bounty waiting for some Napa cabbage.
AND, can't forget a living bouquet of marigolds for my wife to enjoy.

scarfguy, your photos are all fabulous! Be sure to post photos of the marigolds. What kind of marigolds are you going to plant?

What I did with my Aerogarden yesterday was give a Bounty Elite to my neighbor. It was sitting unused in a closet. She was thrilled! But wouldn't you know, I'm already wondering whether I'm going to need another one. That's addiction for you!

Bless you for being such a great neighbor!
(OR are you just infecting your neighbor with the incurable Aerogarden Addict disease)

I thought I'd try these cute little "Janie Spry" variety this time.
They are suppose to be really small at about 8-10 inches.

Does looking at your Farm 12XL and thinking that "I really must prune or terminate those tomato plants" count as "doing something"? I also thought about photographing the Swiss Chard garden, which is flourishing but not very photogenic at present. In truth, it is too warm in the S.F. Bay Area today (a balmy 70 degrees F.) to inspire AG activities. So far we've had an unusually cool summer, but we're about to join the rest of the country later this week in experiencing a heat wave.

Hee Hee!
TODAY, I got some seeds I ordered from a small Etsy seller (https://www.etsy.com/shop/foodgrower).
They had a bunch of interesting varieties of Korean napa cabbage so I ordered 3 different varieties.
This is how they came in the envelope, no invoice, no labels.
When I started gardening with Aerogardens, I didn't realize that I'd have to learn Korean!

The Google translate app lets you take a photo with your phone to translate things for you, I've found that helpful a couple times!

Hmmm.... I tried that. All it did was convert the handwritten Korean word to the same word as a clean "typeset" printed Korean word. Perhaps, that word doesn't have an English equivalent?
ANYWAY, I figured it out. Another seller had the English words on their listing as well as the Korean. It was problematic because I struggled with handwriting too BUT I was able to decipher a couple of letters which was enough to figure out which is which...
... (I hope)

Not today, but a couple of days ago -- Harvested some Genovese basil so it's no longer touching the lights. That's mint next to it. It's mojito time. Harvest a bit of tatsoi. It's doing pretty well, so may plant more. In my Chopped basket, I had fresh basil, tatsoi, a roma tomato, and some fresh mozarella. Time for Caprese sandwich -- In other news, Rouge d'Hiver and Parris Island are ready to start eating, so looks like some tossed salad and scrambled eggs are going to be on the menu for breakfast. And some baby Rouge d'Hiver and Parris Island are standing ready to take their places. (This one took the place of an AG heirloom greens that was zero for six for sprouting. I am getting back into the lettuce groove. Special note: The tatsoi, Rouge d'Hiver and Parris Island were from a couple of AG custom greens kits that I ordered from Amazon, and out of 18 pods, they all have sprouted. Much better than that piece of crap AG heirloom green kit.

Yesterday I started three pods in a Bounty: Merlot lettuce, Homeslice tomato, and AG Green Bell pepper. This is to save a little on electricity. When they are seedlings, the tomato and pepper will go to a Farm and another Bounty. Today H and I had burgers with Merlot lettuce and Homeslice tomatoes from the previous plantings.

Yesterday I used the last of the bok choy for dinner, and then ordered some seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds: Tiny Hedou Bok Choy, Chijimisai, and Common Arugula. Also ordered more blank pods to plant them in.

Today: ended the lettuce because it was getting old and bitter. Cleaned the Harvest and prepped it for the new seeds when they arrive.

TODAY - I walked into my dining room and harvested some tomatoes.
My yellow taxi tomato is still producing lots of tomatoes every few days. The Zyska (Polish roma) tomato is now also being prolific.
TOMORROW, I'm gonna simmer an "all day" Sunday sauce. Yum!

Some of your Taxi tomatoes are pretty big, scarfguy! This particular Taxi planting grew very quickly, it seems. The Romas look beautiful, too. My Aloha pepper seeds came today, so I added a pod to my Bounty with Merlot lettuce, Homeslice tomato, and AG green bell pepper. After 8 days, the Homeslice plants are about an inch tall, and there are many little Merlot leaves below the circular pod thingie that blocks out light. The AG pepper has done nothing. The AG seeds are coated with some sort of iridescent blue-green substance--maybe that is retarding germination, like we see with pelleted seeds? I've never seen this coating in an AG-seeded pod before.

ALOHA HARVEST TODAY!
lynnee, here's what you have to look forward to...
====
Stuffed peppers for dinner. I harvested 6 of the Aloha peppers today. The two plants have 3 additional ripe or almost ripe peppers and a few flowers. The plant seems to be taking a pause. I think it has been spending a lot of energy carrying all those peppers and will benefit from the harvest.
The peppers go from streaks of green to yellow to red. I'm only seeing a few streaks of red. I think they could ripen a bit longer BUT I'm hungry.
