Thanks @shawn and MaryL I kept going in circles until last night I went all in and ordered the Farm Plus... As mentioned, I don't have a lot of space, but I decided that the guest bedroom is going to become a little bit of a farm area. Hopefully it turns out not to be a horrible idea. Reasons I decided on this was - it felt like "less" to manage as opposed to three individual systems. Though as you mentioned, having three individual ones could possibly have made it easier to individually manage different types of plants as well as assist in the whole "space" requirement that I talked about. Still not sure it was the right move - but it is what it is and i'm going to just try and make the best out of the impulse decision for the larger one. Now, the question becomes - how to best mix and match my seeds. The silly thing is, the kit that it came with didn't have any of the seeds that my wife and I really want to plant! So I ended up having to order a bunch of custom packs to get the right ones. I know there are 24 pods and from what i'm reading, they shouldn't all be filled. I'd love to hear your suggestions on how to organize our plants. We would love to have: Veges/Peppers - Thai chili, red cherry tomato, golden cherry tomato, Green Onion (we have other peppers to plant, but it seems like it could get overwhelming?) Herbs - Thai Basil, Holy Basil, Cilantro, Chives, Thyme and as many other herbs that we can plant (there is a long list, but those are the top picks). Salads - Chinese Cabbage, Kale, and a combo of some other salad lettuce (not sure how many we can fit)! From that list, what sounds possible? How many of the veges/peppers, herbs, salads could we comfortably grow in the farm? Do you have any optimal setup for placement? This is all 100 percent new to me, so any advice would be appreciated. Congratulations on taking the plunge! I’m sure you will be happy with your Farm. I don’t have one yet but have enjoyed watching drbanks and serri grow in theirs. I’d put 1 tomato and 1 pepper under 1 light, and the herbs or salad greens under the other. What you grow under 1 light has to grow at generally the same pace and height. So salad and herbs aren’t a great match, though it’s doable if you plant the lettuce later. I’d start with all lettuce now on 1 side to get the hang of it - plus it’s a fast producing garden and gives you more immediate gratification. Your first lettuce harvest will be ready in 3 weeks.

How long have you been Aerogardening?
Hey all, I am brand new to the forums and gardening/aerogardening. It seems like a great bunch of people with a ton of great info and I am looking forward to being here. I've had my Aerogarden Bounty Elite with Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit since Saturday 7/21, so I am very noobish in general. Thanks for the welcome.

It is wonderful to have you on board,Spidey! I would also suggest growing 1 tom,1 pepp and they would be a long term project. You wouldn't be harvesting for a few months from planting. BUT, being new to AG-ing, and eager to grow and see results, I would also grow lettuce only in another machine ans see a harvestable crop in 3 -4 weeks ! Fast projects are a big encouragement . Welcome

I am already looking at other options in terms of Aerogardens, or even making something rigged up with a few pumps and timers. The idea of hydroponics is something that I've always toyed with - just haven't tried it since I've always been into salt water stuff.
Veggies are definitely on the horizon, thanks for the suggestions 😊

Thanks for the welcome, Shawn ! I'm an Aerogarden newb and just planted my first three weeks ago in a Bounty. Really enjoying having the plants (and those LEDs!!!) brighten up my kitchen. Started with the Herb Kit since I figured it would be difficult to accidentally mess up and therefore a good starting point. Already got to use some of the Basil on some chicken.

I've got Dill, Italian Parsley, Chives, Mint, Thyme and three Basils (one Thai two Genovese). The Dill and the Chives are getting tall now, too. I have a trip this weekend so I might not get the chance to poke around here too much until next week. Thanks again!
