For lettuce, I always use less nutrients. Also as an FYI (I have posted this several times in different places but will here too) It is best to harvest lettuce before adding nutrients and not within two days after adding. When harvesting right after nutes the lettuce can have a bitter taste.
Also lettuce and herbs love cold water so if the water is too warm or hot, add some ice cubes to cool it down. Herbs and lettuce can look wilted or "sad" if water is too warm.

Great tips Shawn, thanks
my garden growing well now, harvesting lettuce daily for 2 people and it growing faster than can eat.
Toms coming along little buds showing now, had to do drain and fill very easy and quick, have been pouring into drain than just thought may try pouring old water on lawn, must still have nutrients in what you think?

I can not see how it would hurt the lawn if you dumped it. But then again I am not an expert in lawns

I don't think that would hurt the grass as long as the water isn't continuously poured in the same spot over time.

I'm really glad they implemented a way to drain them without using a siphon. Hopefully all their future models will follow that path.

Everything is looking great! The lettuce is getting nice and tall and lush. I could never wait to let mine get that big before harvesting

I knew I had to let things get to a certain level before I could start harvesting on a regular basis if I wanted it to be sustainable. I am in good shape at this point for the lettuce and plan on three big salads a week going forward... :-)

You plants look good. Different plants sometimes require more or less nutes then what is recommended. I know lettuce and some flowers use less nutes. So you can play with it if needed especially if you think you are adding too much to the one side.

I use one Calimagic cap per side once per feeding (1 teaspoon per gallon) I noticed an immediate (next morning) difference with some of the tomatoes that have been loosing leafs and stalks that would turn brown and fall off. After researching it, apparently using led grow lights with some species cause nutrition deficiencies from growing so quickly which results in nute burn of various levels depending on the plant. The brown edges of some of my lettuce has disappeared as well along with the tomatoes taking off. Highly recommend the stuff.

I spaced out my toms, say three per side, how are yours doing with 12, are they to tight? would you plant this many again?

Would definitely replant all 12 again. I currently count 80 plus tomatoes with maybe another 100 plus flowers pollinated and about to become tomatoes as well. This will give me yields that should keep up with my salads from the lettuce. Very pleased so far :-)

I was hesitant about listening to Aerogarden's suggestion to plant all 12 pods, but looking at this makes me think it wasn't a bad idea to do it.
